Up for auction today is a 1985 VW Golf Turbo Diesel. I built this car for My little brother one year ago. My brother is needing a truck now so he can hall his dirt bike around. I am building him a VW Rabbit diesel pickup and taking this car as a down payment. I do not have room for the car so here it is. I got the car a year ago and rebuilt the engine from the ground up. It has most of the drive train, tires, brakes, shock/struts, stearing components, and exhaust replaced. It has only had 9000 miles put on the new engine, turbo, clutch, CV shafts, water pump, vaccum pump, and injection pump. This car also gets about 42-48 mpg. The trany has 30k on it after being rebuilt. Tires are new 200 miles ago. Wheels are about five years old and came off a BMW. The wheels are a 18"x7.5" tsw and are in ok condition. They do have some rash, and have been repaired but the repairs where done by wheel Doctors in Cali. Over all I give them a 7 out of 10 for looks, 10 being like new. The seats are the Racaro trophy 2s. Seats are in nice condition. Inside the car looks great and it has a very nice stereo with 12"subwoofer and 1000 watt kenwood amp. I will list all the new parts and when they were replaced, and also the bad things about the car. Starting with the Good. 1. New engine rebuild 9k ago. 2. New turbo 9k ago. 3. Rebuilt Injection pump 9k ago. 4. New clutch flywheel and presure plate 9k ago. 5. Rebuilt vaccum pump 9k ago. 6. Rebuilt 5 speed trany 30k ago. 7. New ball joints 20k ago. 8. New rack and tie rods 20k ago. 9. New front struts and rear shocks 20k ago. 10. New wheel bearings front and rear 20k ago. 11. New radiator, thermal switch, and relay 20k ago. 12. New front and rear brakes whith drums and rotors 20K ago. 13. New axhaust 200 miles ago. 14. New tires 200 miles ago. 15. Alignment 200 ago. 16. New fuel filter 200 miles ago. 17. It has just had its 3rd oil change on the new motor. 18. All electrical works good. 19. Inside looks very nice with good carpets. 20. No rust on the car except three little dents that have some surface rust. 21. Has Racaro trophy2 seats. 22. Windows are tinted. 23. Has GTI fender flares and rear GTI glass with spoiler. 24. Has GTI lower valance. 25. New windshield and gasket. 26. Momo stearing wheel with quick release (not the cheep junk). 27. Eclipse CD player with Ipod input, Kenwood 1000 watt mono block amp, and MTX 12" subwoofer. 28. Sealed beam headlight conversion with German made Hella housings, and 8000k HIDs. Now for the bad. 1. The car dose have some dings and 3 small dents here and there. 2. Wheels are a little banged up. 3. Headline needs recovered. These are all the things I can see on the car. This is a very nice car that is sure to save you on gas and turn some heads at the same time. It is getting harder and harder to find these Golfs with the diesel engine, and even harder to find it with a Turbo diesel. I would love to keep this car in the family If I could but most of them already have diesels, so it has to go.
