Vehicle Detail

DESCRIPTION: This is a 2000 Limited Edition Sebring convertible in dark blue. The convertible was purchased from Huffines Chrysler in Lewisville, Texas, with 23,000 miles on it in 2002. The car has never been wrecked while owned and has not had any major repairs (only an electronic module was replaced while under dealer warranty). The convertible is fully loaded with leather seats, automatic everything, and fog lights. Maintenance performed on the car includes the replacement of the A/C compressor, convertible top glass and rubber stripping (last year), Front Headlights, and Indoor A/C Blower motor/Resistor have been replaced throughout ownership, along with routine belts, pads and tires, mostly with new aftermarket parts (a few are from the dealership). All Struts were also replaced a while back (~3yrs ago), along with a front wheel hub. The oil and other engine fluids have been changed on a routine basis. This car is Sold As-Where-Is in Fort Worth, Texas; a $500 dollar deposit is due at the close of the auction and full payment within 6 days of the auction's ending. Must have 5 or more positive feedbacks or your bid will be cancelled. Bidding starts at $1000. Additionally, the convertible top cover and original dealer paperwork/owner's manual comes with the convertible. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS / NOTES The convertible runs and drives alright. The front end drives a little bit roughly, as the local maintence shop said it might need one new front wheel bearing. The car will whine sometimes out of the front, just a little during acceleration sometimes; (think it might be pulley). The tires are in average condition (tread is still alright), but could be replaced, aligned, and balanced. The engine runs fine and the transmission shifts fine, though there is an oil leak (not too bad) which appears to be just an oil pan gasket and could do with a valve cover gasket as needed; could be more, but it probably will clear up if the pan gasket etc is replaced as the convertible has been driven every day as is for years (looks very easy to replace, although I am selling as is). The dash lights (just the gauge area) started flickering at night a few years ago every once in a while and will stay off for a bit, but since it doesn't affect the driving of the car, I never messed with it. I just found out that there is a recall for this (the light switch, or dimmer switch), probably very basic. There is a small dent/ding shown in one of the photos next to the gas cover along with a few dings etc around the convertible, along with a little paint scraped off next to where the driver's side door and fender meet as if someone kicked it and somehow bent it a little; it was bent right back out a couple of weeks ago and just a little paint was scraped back off (shown in photo, just a little on the edge of the fender, door). The convertible top has a little exterior seam that has come apart on both sides above the door windows, though it doesn't make the top leak. The top is actually made in two pieces, the back glass or plastic (this is glass/not the plastic) and the rest of the top. The back part and glass were replaced along with some of the rubber molding (not the rest of the top) though the full top has been replaced twice under the original dealership warranty. The brake pads look ok, though it will need new rear pads before too long. The oil was a little darker last time it was changed, but could be cleaned out pretty well when the pan gasket it changed. Exhaust smoked just for a second after it sat a while and accelerated hard. It only did it once while it was being inspected a couple of weeks ago and that was it. The blower motor has low, medium, or high but will only go on high. There is a resistor piece (easily accessible) under the passenger side next to the blower that has been replaced twice from the dealership and has broken after a while each time, so the blower motor as well as the resistor were replaced the second time, but did the same thing a few months later. The Dealer said they would warranty (only the part) a third time if needed, though haven't replaced the fuse/resistor again. The convertible was taken to the dealership recently to go over everything and said the engine and transmission would go out, though they work just fine. Most dealerships would like to sell you a new car if your car is older. Just thought I would state that to be fair, though as stated runs and drives ok and the engine doesn't knock or smoke and the transmission shifts perfect and doesn't slip etc. One back seat floor mat is missing. Also, the driver's side mirror plastic housing was replaced recently and the mirror works, but wouldn't seat completely. That's about all the things I could tell you that could be repaired or replaced. The carpet and interior/seats look fine with no big tears or faded or scratches, etc. Paint is factory and is ok and the chrome on the wheels look nice. Trunk looks fine with the spare and jack and the radio has a factory amplifier under the passenger seat. Power drivers seat, manual passenger seat. New front lights and the backs looks fine. A/C works ok to moderate (has a difficult time cooling above 94 degrees). Comes with keyless entry remote and has factory alarm. Thanks and good luck bidding
