Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my baby-1951 Chev Panel Van. I've owned this Panel Van for over 20 years. This Panel Van was my Green Bay Packer Pregame vehicle. I had it outfitted with deep cycle batteries underneath with converters to power all the TV's, radios, satelite TV units, lights, strobes on top, sound systems, etc. This Van was professionally went thru in December 2002 and had the following done: Pulled Transmission and installed clutch and pressure plate assembly. Complete Brake job including new shoes and wheel cly's, drums turned, new master cly, and replaced all steel brake tubing and hoses. Compression check on all cly's at 115 lbs Driveshaft torque tube gasket replaced, master cly replaced, seals. The frame/undercarriage/springs are in excellent shape. Steering is tight and nice. The van has been converted over to a 12 V system. All lights work. Brakes are amazing and stop the vehicle quickly with NO pulsing or sagging. The COMPLETE brake system was replaced new approx. 9 years ago. New shocks up front and new air shocks in back. The shocks in the back are air and have fittings so you can adjust the ride height. This was important because for the pre game we had 4 adults, and all pre game accessories including beverages, 3 deep cell batteries, etc. The tranny/ rear end are original and run excellent. It is approx a 75 min drive each way for lambeau stadium and the van did it easily about 3 times a year. I have also installed an aftermarket heater for winter use. The controls are in the glove box. In some of the pictures you will see a frame out front underneath the bumper. This was to hold our flag pole and has since been removed. You will also see a frame system to hold my grill on the back. This has also been removed as it was used for the Pre games. You will also see a swing arm table in the rear. This was for the TV system and was able to swing out in any position depending on sun/weather etc. If requested I can have this removed or simple leave in. The seats were professionally redone 2 years ago. Diamond plate running boards. New radio system (in glove box) with speakers up front AND in the rear doors. I also have a cigarette lighter in the back door that I used as a power unit. If you know your chev's you will know that Panel Vans are quite rare. There are alot of PU's out there, but not many Vans. I always enjoyed driving a unique vehicle, and this is it! Both the drivers side window and drivers side window are cracked. It never bothered me, as exept for the cold packer games, I always drove it in the summer with the windows open so nobody saw them. The are intact, just have a few cracks in them. The door handles are welded in position as I have installed a electronic popper system on the bottom of the doors. The seats have custom frames underneath. This was so we could remove them quickly for the pregames. In several of the photos you can see that we had them out in the parking lot. The deep cycle batteries that I mentioned were underneath, converters, strobes on top, grill and magnetic decals on the side are not included. I listed the mileage at 999999 as I am unsure as I write this how many miles are on it. I will update listing within a day or two with the correct mileage. There are no warranties express or implied. The vehicle is sold as is where is. In addition to this vehicle I'm also selling my 1973 Dodge Charger. The only reason for selling is I am close to closing a deal on an airplane. If you look at my username you will see "studflyboy". I love my old cars, but the flying bug has bitten' bad! Both vehicles are open for inspection and for a test ride. Although, do to insurance reasons, I will have to drive. All funds must be paid timely. I will look for a $500 deposit within 3 business days payable by either paypal, check, wire, money order or cash. The balance must be paid within 7 days and must be payable only by cash wire or certified check. The check must also clear my bank before the vehicle is released. I am able to store the vehicle for up to 30 days at no charge. I would appreciate that if you need a husband/wife/bf/gf approval that you get that before bidding. Ebay does charge listing fees which can add up quickly. Please also remember that the winning bidder has entered into a legally binding contract. Winning does not mean that you can come inspect the vehicle to make a decision after the auction is done. I will make myself readily available to meet with any moving / transportation company that you authorize. If you have less than 3 positive bids I would like for you to contact me first before bidding-I do retain the right to cancel any bids if you do not contact me first. This is only to ensure that the auction process maintains it's integrity. I am NOT listing this locally! Therefore, this auction will continue to the end. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. During listing this panel, I made mention that I would update the mileage within a day or two. However, after I listed the panel I noticed that i did have the odometer in one of the photos showing the mileage. I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion. I only realized my mistake of ommision after receiving several emails. Thank you.
