Up for auction a classic 1983 Honda CR250 motocross bike. I purchased this motorcycle about two years ago along with a nice CR480. I decided to keep the open class machine and let this bike go since it is just sitting in the garage. If you are looking for a clean stock example of Honda's 83 CR250 this bike would be a good candidate. It starts easily and runs and idles well. The bike has new chain and sprockets and a new seatcover. The footpegs are straight and level and the frame shows no crack or weld repairs. The previous owner installer zerk grease fittings on the steering stem, swingarm, and suspension to keep them well lubed. The radiators are not mashed in and they still retain the stock guards, There are no rusted bolts or stripped threads on the bike and the wiring harness is solid and not pieced together with electrical tape. The bike also comes with a spare rolling chassis....it's pretty rough, but you get a spare transmission and cases and wheels for your vintage racer. The bike is being sold with a Bill of Sale and I will assist with delivery the best that I can. I have set a reasonable reserve of $1400.00 and I think this bike and parts are well worth that amount.
