Vehicle Detail
This a rare barn find, located this old honda several years ago. My father got it running for my kids, and then they out grew it and it got parked in my barn for a couple of years and now I can not get it started, seems to have no spark. The engine has compression( you can tell when the plug is in when your kick starting it) I believe it is a 1971 Qa 50.Not real sure. The ekhaust is a liitle loose, I tryed to get a picture of the pipe. The tires are ok, and it shifted good when parked(2 spd) I believe, if you have any questions I will try to answer.Mileage is unknown, no title I will ship but the buyer will have to pay for shipping, I will take the bike apart and drain all the fluids to ship.Any question regarding the bike do not hesitate to ask.On Oct-17-11 at 08:19:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I am being told it is a 1970 not a 1971, and I am trying to get it started again, will checking the wires to the coil.On Oct-17-11 at 18:25:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok, I hope this is the last revision to this listing,IT RUNS,I filed the points and checked the wires to the coil, and it started right up. It seems that maybe the carb needs a good cleaning though, tryed to adjust it but when you accelerate it starts to die, if you choke it then it does accelerate.Another e-bayer asked about the plastic, all the plastic is intact and not cracked, the gas tank has one dent in it but it is not very big, the inside of the tank looks pretty good, the exhaust shield seems a little loose. The tires look real good and hold air,the seat has a small hole on the left side near the aft end of the seat. I hope I have thought of every thing, oh and it does go in and out of the gears. The bike weighs about 84lbs., I would think the shipping would be under $65.00. I have decided that I will pay half the shipping, so lets get bidding. There is no reserve, and I am not advertising anywhere elseOn Oct-19-11 at 11:15:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a another question about the gears, I took out last night and drove it, and it does stay in 2nd gear just fine, shifts with no issues. Thanks for the questions.
