Vehicle Detail
My Loss is Your Gain Ever have a building fall in on your Collector Car? Well, this is exactly what happened to me during a recent storm. Here we have my '65 Pontiac LeMans Custom. This awesome car has suffered front hood(dent), passenger fender(dent), and headlight bezel damage as seen in pictures. There are also very small boo-boo's on both doors(tried to show in pics). This incident has left me sick. I can't bring myself to even think of doing this car again, so I'm selling the car as is. This Pontiac started life as a very nice Southern rust free car. It features all new interior, re-chromed bumpers, new BF Goodrich TA tires, and 16" Torque Thrust II's. The engine is a pumpin' YS400 Pontiac big block with Edelbrock Performer and new Holley carb. Car has brand new heavy duty GTO front suspension throughout with disc brakes. Everything works on the car as it should and the car is mechanically perfect. I am the third owner of this car--I have original Protector Plate and manual. Folks, the car needs some bolt-on parts and a re-paint to bring it back to it's former glory. Take this opportunity to create your own GTO clone or what ever. You will not find many of these clean cars left. Car is being sold as is and winning bidder will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24hrs of end of auction through PayPal. I'm holding a Clear KS title on the car. Neither car or title will be released until all funds clear. Thanks for looking. HAPPY BIDDINGOn Oct-20-11 at 16:01:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I've tried to answer everyone's questions, but am having difficulties getting the responses to post publicly. I will try to answer what most people have ask here. The motor in this car runs fine--no smoke or oil burning--transmission fine. The car runs, drives, stops, etc. The hood will not close without causing more damage. Not interested in trades. Underside of car is very clean, no rust issues. Car does have all original body panels. There are some very small rust pin holes in trunk pan. There are a couple of body panels that have been smoothed with filler---they are not rust repairs. This car is metal. There are some paint chips from 2x4's hitting it. Again----the car will need a new hood, new headlight bezel, and the passenger fender re-worked. The car will then need to be smoothed back up and repainted. The car will not need any rust repair unless the trunk pan is an issue for you--it has never bothered me. Thanks for all of the interest in the car.
