Vehicle Detail
1970 OLDSMOBILE 442 W-30 TRIBUTE$1 NO RESERVE!!!Along with the special edition Hurst Olds of 1968 and 1969, the 1970 W-30 was one of the most powerful production Oldsmobiles ever created. While the 370 hp from its 455 is impressive, if not as high as some other contemporary muscle car engines, what is really amazing for those who have experienced it is the 500 lb-ft of torque. The W-30 was an option package on top of the 1970 Oldsmobile 442 model. Features over the regular model included an engine with 5 more horsepower and an aluminum intake manifold, red fiberglass inner fenderwells, and fiberglass OAI hood. Always a relatively rare muscle car, the total production for W-30 convertibles in 1970 was 264. (Of this number, 96 were manual shift and 168 were automatic. Of the latter, 126 featured the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter.) Few of these cars survived, and only a handful of authentic 1970 W-30 Convertibles remain in the world today. The 1970 Oldsmobile you are bidding on is a stunning recreation of one the most powerful and exclusive muscle cars ever produced. As you can see from the pictures the car is in near show condition. It is finished in what I believe to be the best color combination available. The motor and transmission were rebuilt approximately 14,000 miles ago. The 455 motor was blue printed and balanced. A stack of receipts for work done to the car is included. This is the chance of a lifetime to own a rust free 1970 Big Block convertible for a fraction of the cost to create one. A genuine 1970 W-30 rag top recently sold for $150,000 at one of the big auctions. I am starting the bidding at $1.00 with NO RESERVE so BID TO OWN!TERMS: ALL INSPECTIONS TO BE MADE BEFORE AUCTION CLOSE. YOU ARE NOT BIDDING ON THE RIGHT TO CONSIDER THE PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE.
