Up for auction is this 1961 Chevrolet Impala 2dr hardtop bubbletop project car. Original was a 6 cyl. car now has a sbc. It's not in running condition but does have a drive train in it. I believe it's a '67 Camaro 327 with a powerglide. Was said to be running in the late ninetys. Engine parts are missing and intake is loose. It might run with work ort might not. The frame is in good solid shape with all suspension parts in place and does have power steering. Body is rusty of course. Will need floor/trunk pans and rockers. Both quarters have rust and the left has some damage. Included is a salvaged patch panel for the left rear upper area...lower patch panels will be needed for the rest. The front clip will need work also. Trunk lid is pretty nice. The windshield cowl area and the roof and deck filler area appear to be in good shape. Most of the trim is there...alot of it very usable...some of it maybe not. Glass is good except the windshield is cracked. The interior is basically all there but will need to be redone. One odd thing is that it has a clutch pedal but a auto colulmn. I think at some time someone had a manual trany in it. There are loose parts that go with it...please look at photos. The cowl tag is missing. VIN tag is in place...see photo. Windsield reveal moulding is with the loose parts and in good condition. Rear window reveal moulding on car and in good condition. Drip rail moulding and weather strip channel in good condition as is the belt line moulding. Exterior side trim is all there...left quarter pieces are with the loose parts and need work however the rest of the side moulding will restore easily. Bumpers are the one piece type. Front looks straight, rear has a slight dent in the middle. Both need rechrome. Interior garnish moulding all there and should restore nice. Side glass chrome is okay, some rust, may polish up pretty good as is without rechroming. Gravel pans seam pretty solid but will need some straightening. I'll try to get numbers off the engine in the next day or two. I'll also add more info as questions come up. Heads are 3917293 E278 casting date; 1968 low compression. Intake is off a 64/65 283. Short block appears to be a '62 327 Suffix code S (FII08S).
