Vehicle Detail
Here is your chance to own a rare BIG BLOCK 4 SPEED Impala! Everyone knows that the 61 Bubble top is the Holy Grail of the Impala's. Has a 348 motor with a M21 Muncie 4 speed, which has been rebuilt to factory specs. It runs and drive good, no issues that I am aware of. This Bubble Top is a two owner car always located in Nevada and California. No Rust on this car, the trunk and floorboards are original and very solid as is the rest of car. The car was painted last year to factory correct color of Frost Green (car was originally white), and the interior is Aqua Green. The paint is probably a 7/10, looks great from 10 feet but there are some imperfections if you look close. Great local show car, shines up very nice. All this car needs is a little TLC and someone to finish up the restoration details. I do have the 61 steering wheel which will need to be repainted. The carpet is new, seats have been reupholstered, and headliner is good. The stainless is super nice and all chrome is excellent. The car was taken off the frame, frame painted with POR 15, and reassembled. New body bushings, etc. Front disc brakes, and the suspension was rebuilt with CRP bushings and suspension kit. These cars are going up in value and starting to bring crazy money at the collector auctions. I am selling this car WAY below value for a Bubble Top, it need a little work to be a $30K-$40K car. If you can do the work or pay someone to do a little work, then this is a GREAT buy. Here is what it needs:- Driver side door weather stripping - I have a new set with the car. Very easy to install.- Steering wheel - Remove the 62 wheel and install the 61 wheel that I have already purchased (goes with the car).- Sway bar bushings. I have a new set.- Driver side glass is cracked. I can get a new one installed for $150 or the new owner can put all new glass in the car for under $300.- If your real picky, you might want to repaint the car. It is fine to me but, like I said in the description... it is a 7/10. At this price, even with a paint job it is very cheap. This is an old You Tube video of this car done by the previous owner. The previous owner stated that this is a real 409 car and the the engine was available at the time of the video. You can call the number on the video to see if the engine is still available if your interested. The tranny is a Muncie 4 Speed, and the car has CPP front disk brakes and suspension. Check out the video...I have this car at a very low reserve for what you will be getting! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EORYiKW-Z9M The Car is still for sale. The video was done a while back by the previous owner, and sold to me. I only posted the video to allow buyers to see the car up close.Any questions, call me at 510-585-5874 Randy
