We have a 1948 DESOTO for sale. The car is rough but very restorable. All the parts are on this car just like it came from desoto when built.. This Desoto was bought and driven by my wifes father. He passed away that is why we have the car. It has a flathead six in it original motor. Fluid drive transmission. All glass lenses on lights. All chrome molding Grill Bumpers Hood ornament. Everything inside car is in it all knobs radio seats ect. Rear doors are suicide. 6 volt charging system. All the windows are in it also. I charged the battery up and turned the engine over It turned over smoothly and you could here the compression on the pistons as they came up. The headlights and parking lights also came on when the switch was pulled. I think with a new battery and a little tinkering it will start. I looked at the seats they are intact thats why I left the blankets on them. They are original and all there. The radio is a Philco. The paint on this car is original from bumper to bumper. This car has never been wrecked. Nor has it had any body work done on it ever. The spare and jack are still in the trunk. We would sell the car for the right price. Remember it is an antique. They dont make these any more. ~~~~~~~GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT.~~~~~~~~ All we have for a title is a tag reciept. But my wife has power of attorney on her dads possessions. I dont think they titled untill 1953. The last tag Reciet I have is in 2004. He did keep it taggged.And insured up untill he passed away. We have not. My wifes father had this car around 38 years as far as we know. We relisted it this is the same car. I lowered the price a little. !!! HAPPY BIDING!!!
