Vehicle Detail
1974 TRIUMPH TR6 – This beautiful, all original, low mileage TR6 is absolutely immaculate inside and out. It is a California car and has always been garaged. There is no rust and the chrome is in excellent condition. The wheels are perfect and the redline tires are brand new. Interior – IMMACULATE! Seats, carpet, dash top, dash wood, gauges, etc… are all in outstanding condition. In addition, it has a gorgeous Moto Lita wood steering wheel. Also, the convertible top is like new. Overall the interior is in GREAT shape. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Exterior – IMMACULATE! No dings, dents, or scratches. It had one quality re-paint ($5,000) about 10 years ago in the original British Racing Green color. It has been driven about 3,000 miles since. I would rate the exterior a 9 out of 10. Mechanics – EXCELLENT! This TR6, mechanically, is as good as it gets. It fires right up, every time with ZERO smoke, even if it hasn’t been driven for a couple of weeks. The brakes are awesome, and the clutch was replaced about 5,000 miles ago. I have never driven a vintage car that shifts so smoothly. The syncro gears are perfect, even when the car is ice cold. Mechanically, I would rate this car a 9 out of 10. This is a really nice, original TR6. If I were keeping it, I would do nothing to improve upon it. Although it is not perfect, it is the type of car you could drive on a daily basis during the week and put it in local car shows on the weekends and probably win some trophies. I would love to keep this lovely TR6 convertible, but just underwent my fifth facial skin cancer surgery. The last two surgeries have left me with 35 stitches. Needless to say, owing a convertible is simply not in my best interest at this point. I am very interested in selling my TR6 immediately so I have set my reserve at a very reasonable price point. Please keep in mind that I expect payment in full by cash, cashier’s check or wire transfer within 72 hours of the end of the auction. If you would like to see the car, I am available any morning throughout the week. If you are unable to see it in person, and are uncomfortable buying it “sight unseen” then please do not bother bidding on the car. If you are the winning bidder, please DO NOT plan on viewing the car after the auction and then make a lesser offer based on frivolous imperfections. I will NOT be responding to ANY EMAILS. Please call me directly, at your convenience, at 916-220-2460 between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM PST and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM PST. Thank you for your interest and the best of luck.
