This 1972 Gran Torino has to be considered one of the nicest unrestored fastbacks in the country. I purchased this car 10 years ago from the original family and is all original & unrestored. The color is Ivy Bronze Metallic w/ black interior w/ high back split bench w/ hounds tooth inserts. 351C / C4 trans, front disc brakes, 9" diff, 14" Magnum 500 wheels w/ Firestone Wide Oval tires. Engine was rebuilt 4 years ago adding Pertronix ignitor II ignition (concealed under the cap), a 4bbl edelbrock AVS carb and an extremely nice exhaust system that is ceramic coated from the headers to the tail pipes which were added just so the car could run and sound like it should have when Ford built it. I have the original exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, carb & air cleaner. This car has won awards beating out some of the nicest restored cars in its class. This car runs & drives like no other! It has always been stored under cover and has had an average of 200 - 500 miles a year . The paint is original w/ some small chips and 2 small dings that have been there probably since 1975. Original owner's manual and a complete set of Ford Shop Manuals are included. It seems that these 72 Torinos are far and few between having rusted away in fields, turned into Saturday night stock cars or crushed. This car has been a menber of my family for last ten years and everything done to this car has been done with the highest regard to maintaining the integrity & ortignal condition of this car. It has never been driven in the rain and draws attention everywhere it goes (it didn't hurt that Clint Eastwod had good taste when it came to making the movie). I described this car as honestly as I can. The condition of this car speeks for itself and I am sad to see it go.
