You are looking at a 1979 Corvette, Black exterior on Black Interior with Slate Grey Carpet. Owned car since 1988. Car has never been in an accident or rain. Always kept in garage. In 2006, I decided to upgrade my classic with a Full $42,000 restoration. YES, $42,000! You will NOT find another 1979 in this condition EVER. Even low milage examples need $thousands$ to repair worn parts over last 30 years. I've priced the car in a sweet spot to attract a responsible owner that will care for my baby like I have for past 23 years. I've brought the car to like new condition with 2006 complete restoration, so you will have a decade or more of trouble free driving. 2006, Arizona Speed & Marine installed GM crate engine ZZ383 ( rated 425hp) with "serpentine belt system" and all accessories mated to a Tremec 5 speed transmission with Hurst shifter. Carburated by Holley Avenger 770 CFM. K&N air filter. Everything new under hood, "Everything." Be Cool radiator with twin electric fans. Air Conditioning completely upgraded with current day standards with all new parts in engine and under dash. The AC blows better than when brand new with these upgrades and runs COLD! TRUE dual exhaust attached to headers and dual catalytic converters, no Y pipes on this car! 4 wheel stainless steel calipers installed. Fiberglass rear spring replace standard steel springs. Headlights pop up FAST - everything replaced to insure reliability. Also replaced switch so bright lights work perfect as well. Heater core and all systems replaced. All under dash hardware replaced. All vacuum parts have been replaced to brand new condition. This car passed very stringent Arizona tailpipe emissions testing. Car runs and drives like new. 2006 Exterior professionally re-painted by Corvette Restoration of AZ. Car has zero spider web cracks and shows like brand new. Car has 115,000 on odometer, but only 8000 since 2006 restoration. Interior completely replaced in 2006, seats, door panels, carpet, speed/cluster lenses throughout, tunnel panels, ect. Fiberglass T-Tops, Power Windows, MANUAL locks, telescopic steering wheel. All emblems replaced on exterior. New front windshield and side windows. All new rubber throughout car! Electric antenna. I am including the factory manual, upgraded T-Top bag/case, dust cover for car, factory brochure from 1979, and misc other nooks that a 1979 Corvette owner will appreciate. I have tried to keep car as original looking as possible on the outside. This car suprises everyone when they come over to look at it. And at stop lights, everyone expects the weazy L48 185hp engine, but quickly realize there is much more under the hood when they hear the exhaust note! I have never spun the tires on this car "I'm an amish driver", and there is at the minimum 450+ hp at the ready. I always wanted a 1979 with current day engine and interior standards. So you are driving a classic with the feel of a current day auto. NOTES: Windshield washer does not work. Never worked or needed since I bought car in 1988, everything is there – needs new washer motor, I live in AZ, why bother. Ash Tray and cover is original and manual clock is still there, but does not work (clock left in original time when it stopped working back in 1988. I kept these parts as token original parts (owner thing) - none smoker car and Garaged kept always and has never seen rain! Small crack on tip of front nose on car (see picture). Barely noticable except to me, but worth mentioning. Car does not have mufflers and sounds awesome! It is not as loud as you'd think with headers, cats, and dual exhaust muffling much of noise, but everybody loves the sound - a true muscle car. This car is an absolute head turner and ready for daily driving or car shows! Selling due to no time to drive it and twin 7 year old boys fight over who gets to ride with me when I do.
