2001 Chevy Express 3500 Van ONE OWNER USED EXCLUSIVELY AT ONE GROUP HOME VERY CLEAN INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ONLY 105,500 MILES BRAUN WHEELCHAIR LIFT HIGH-TOP EXTENDED VAN with EXTRA HIGH DOORS Braun Wheelchair Lift (with fully automatic power fold and controls on the lift platform) Vortec 5700 5.7l 350cu in Engine 4L80E Automatic Transmission with cooler Power Windows Power Locks Cruise Control Tilt Steering Rear Heat/Air 3.73 Rear Axle 9500# GVWR Heavy Duty Braking System Four Wheel Anti-lock brakes Front Driver and Passenger Airbags Gray Vinyl Interior This van was county owned and used exclusively at one of their group homes. It was not used commercially or on a route. It was parked at one group home and used to take the residents to their appointments, special outings, and work therapy. The oil was always changed every 3,000 miles, and any other repairs were made as needed. It was only taken out of service because the county received funds to buy a new van. MECHANICAL It just had a new intake gasket installed, along with a coolant flush, front Monroe LT shocks, oil change, and all fluids were checked. Other recent repairs include a belt, front pads/rotors, rear shoes and wheel cylinder. Starts right up and runs nice and smooth like a 350 engine should. Transmission shifts fast and perfectly. Drives straight down the road. No leaks, and hardly any seepage/drips. Air and heat work good. Front tires have 12/32 and 9/32 of tread. Back tires are fair and are about ready to be replaced, along with balancing all tires. The only other mechanical flaw we noticed is occasionally the fuel gauge will stay at empty, and not read correctly, other times its fine. (possible that a few more fill-ups may correct the issue) BODY Paint is still shiny and clean looking. As you can see in the pictures it has the usual rust problem on the bottom of the side cargo doors. Also has the usual wheelchair van rust problem on the extensions/top framing on the back door. Other than that, there is hardly any other noticeable rust on the van. Only a few dings and scratches on the van, nothing major or hardly noticeable. Please see the pictures. Also, there is a spot on the passenger side where someone used the wrong color touch-up paint. If you look very closely and stare, it does look like a couple of spots had body work from parking lot blunders. Underside has normal Michigan rust, but as you can see it is just normal oxidation on the metal, there is no rot or rust-through or signs of such. INTERIOR Everything works as it should. Both front seats have cracking from getting in and out of the van, but there is no other wear or marks on the seats. The back seats are in good shape with no visible flaws. Has brackets for another row of seats to make it a 11/12 passenger van plus room for wheelchairs, or take out more seats to fit more wheelchairs. Interior is very clean, and only shows light to normal wear. HANDICAPPED For wheelchairs it has the Q-straint system, along with a tub of belts/straps for securing them. Braun lift works flawlessly, and is still in very good condition. Overall a nice van for the year/age.
