Vehicle Detail

I've decided to part with my 450. I no longer have enough parking at my new place for extra toys. I'll try and be as descriptive as possible but if you have any questions at all feel free to contact me. First, it has 110,XXX miles on the 4.5L V8. The 3-speed automatic shifts great with no clunking or strange noises. I left the car at work (Hyundai of Lansing) so I don't remember the exact number. Mercedes started adding electronic fuel injection in 73 for the 450's so it starts up right away. The original Bosch system was replaced about 11 years ago with an MSD box. I still have the original Bosch unit but my guess is it needs to be rebuilt. It was running a little rough this summer when I picked it up so I performed a fuel induction service which cleaned out the intake, injectors and the fuel lines. Also, I just replaced the oil and filter, I believe there is something like 200 miles on it. The transmission fluid is very clean, I'm assuming the previous owner had it changed. I replaced the left front brake caliper and pads on both front brakes. The rear brakes still have some good life left on them. All four wheels were rebalanced last month so it rides down the road very smooth. The front tires have 9/32nds and the rear has 8/32nds so they have some good tread left on them. All the lights are in good working order inside the car and out. I have a receipt for a rust protection which was performed on the underside of the vehicle but I think it was done in 85 so it is a little old. Today I put on a couple new exhaust hangers. The interior, in my opinion, is in great condition considering it is 37 years old. The drivers side bolster has some wear and discoloration and the passenger seat has a hole. The dashboard has three cracks running down it. The carpet is in very good shape, couple stains here and there but nothing bad. The headliner is in near perfect shape. All the windows work, the drivers window is a little slow but works every time. The sunroof works great. What surprised me was the working cruise control! The cruise control on my Honda doesn't even work anymore but a 37 year old car has a working cruise control. The exterior needs paint. By the looks as if the paint is original and it shows. The top of the car (hood, roof and trunk) has bad paint. It is faded beyond saving. There are a couple small rust spots starting around some corners that should be fixed before a repaint. The good news is the chrome is in great shape, all the emblems are there and the grill is really nice. The bad... The radio isn't working. It has power coming to it but no sound, not even static so I'm thinking something got disconnected. The RPM gauge does not work. The A/C works but not very well. As stated earlier, there are a couple small rust areas beginning. I've put a few hundred miles on it and its really a comfortable car to be in. It takes bumps well and handles nice too. The previous owner gave me a bunch of service history. I even have records of when he put gas in it and at how much. I also have the original window sticker and registration. The car was purchased new in Grand Rapids. The first owner traded in a Cadillac and paid cash for the rest. It was originally $18k new so you can imagine how much that would be now days. I have something like 6 keys for it as well. I took a lot of pictures today so if there are any particular pieces you would like to see just let me know and I can send them via email. The I will be checking my eBay messages a couple times a day so if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask. Also, I encourage anyone that is able to come take a look at it before the auction is over. You are more than welcome to test drive it and look it over. This vehicle is being sold as-is since it is a private party sale. It is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells before the end of the auction. Thanks for looking!
