Vehicle Detail
The time has come to sell my 1970 Boss 302 as I need the space for my current Shelby project. This has been a great car and would love to keep it, but can only do so much with limited room.It is FAST,FUN,and has been a very reliable drivable car! This is not a trailer queen or Prima Dona show car however it has held it`s own by recently taking First place in it`s class at the 2011 SAAC convention this past May at V.I.R. I purchased the car in June of 2005 as a rolling chassis.(it had been a trailered show car previously)The previous owner kept the drivetrain, which was not original to the car anyway, and wanting a driver I put together my own package, all the while trying to keep the car close to it`s original heritage. The engine has an original Boss 302 block +.030 with a 347 stroker kit,Aussie small port cast iron heads, correct Boss Carburetor/Distributor,B&A ported intake,Canton 8 qt.oil pan, custom built stainless steel exhaust system(2.5 inch)with Borla mufflers. The transmission is original Boss 302 close ratio, with correct Hurst shifter, original driveshsaft, and currently has a 3:64 rear gear with Detroit locker.(this has been a very good streetable combo)The car has never overheated and has a correct original radiator as well as the factory oil cooler installed.Shaker is a reproduction.Suspension consists of new correct upper/lower control arms, new calipers & rotors, date correct original KONI shocks, new front & rear springs,1.125 front sway bar, polygraphite bushings throughout,original.625 factory rear sway bar.Fuel tank & lines are new as are all brake lines & hoses.Wheels are new Magnum 500,BF Goodrich comp.Radials.The interior has it`s original factory headliner in excellent condition,Front seats have been recovered, however the rear seat was so nice I left it alone, new dash pad, door panels,AM/FM stereo/cassette.Interior is nice.Tinted glass all round.Trunk has correct space saver spare and jack.Should note this is a non/foldown rear seat.Paint is in great condition, however being a driver now ,it has accrued some scratches but you have to look for them. The compression ratio is 10/1 should note you can run 87 octane if needed as long as you use an octane boost,(Ihad to do this a couple years ago during the so called gas crunch)the car ran flawlessly. Please ask any questions you may have, car is listed locally as well and I will retain the right to end the auction should it sell locally.Thanks.
