Up for sale is this 1956 Chevy 3600 Pickup. It has an inline 6 and manual tranny. The body is in very good condition considering what some other 56's look like. It will make a great start for a restoration or to build a rat rod. I would say a person could pickup a later model (like a 95?) silverado stepside with a 350 and use the full drivetrain and box and put it under this cab and make a really cool driver and not have to spend a fortune. Or it could be restored to original condition without a whole lot of metal repair besides the obvious prep, prime and paint. I don't have much history on the truck. All the last owner could tell me when I asked if it runs is that it had carb trouble right before it was parked and he hasn't touched it since. It has one or more carbs laying on the passenger floorboard. The body is really in good condition considering the cab corners, doors and floorboards aren't all rotted out. The door opening wells will need blasted but they are all there and do not have rust holes. The fenders are pretty rusty and I would say need replaced. The windshield, rear window and drivers door glass are all in great shape. Both wing windows and the passenger door glass will need replaced to make a perfect fix. They are not broken out but will need replaced. As you can see from the picts, the truck will need towed. But I will help find a carrier that's reasonably priced and help load the truck on a trailer. I know how it is buying something a very long ways from home and how frustrating it is when the seller doesn't want to be inconvienced by helping the buyer. And I promise I am not one of these people. Buyer is responsible for all transportation fees. Payment is due to me within 5 days of auctions end. The truck can sit here for however long it takes to pick it up as long as payment has been made in the 5 days after the auctions end.
