Vehicle Detail
1951 Chevy 1/2 ton- 3100 Deluxe Cab, Short- bed, fully restored pick-up This is the one that everyone wants. Looks great, drives great, and is priced right. 1951 was the first year for the vent wing windows, and the last year for the turn down handles. The 1/2 ton deluxe cab is the most rare and sought after body style. A great deal of pride was taken restoring this truck over the past several years. Over $1600 ( I have receipts) was recently spent on New chrome and chrome bumpers, brand new 15" radial tires, shocks, beauty rings, and other items necessary to keep this wonderful restoration looking and driving well. Engine: A late 50's 235 fully rebuilt, fully pressurized, period correct 6cyl was installed. Starts, and runs terrific. Transmission: 3 speed and the column that shifts better than new. No play at all. Clutch is rebuilt and excellent. This truck has been converted to a 12volt system with all the correct changes made to make it start right up, make the headlights brighter, and make it much more dependable and worry free to drive. All mechanical parts new or rebuilt Brand new floor mat, upholstery, headliner, visors, etc. Body is rust free and paint is very good. There is a little orange peel (just like the factory) but there are no dents or blemishes except where the tailgate hooks slide in to keep the tailgate in place. All fenders, tailgate, bed strips, front bed pan and bumpers are brand new. Paint is the correct color of Forester Green. I did recently touch up a few minor chips. Bed is newer and in excellent condition. The door handles are the only chrome that showed wear, ( patina), and I have purchased a new chrome set and will have them installed by the end of auction. I love driving this truck, and would not be afraid to take it anywhere. I encourage serious buyers to come take it for a test drive or send your professional inspector to do so. Clean title. Check out my positive feedback, so that you may bid with confidence. No dealers, etc. I do not need help selling this truck...it will sell itself. Good luck to all bidders.
