This is the 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engine from Ford. My wife has driven this Excursion for the last 10 years shuttling our 5 children to school and sporting events. This Excursion runs great. It has high miles (278,000) but this engine will run another 200,000. It is in good condition showing its 11 year age. Regular oil changes have resulted in an engine that has never had a problem. The transmission shifts flawlessly. A new alternator and year old batteries provide great startup power. Heated seats, cd player and other options on the Limited Edition make this Excursion a very comfortable vehicle. The interior is fair with a tear in the drivers seat. It has typical scratches on the body from its age but all in all it is is really good condition for it years of use. The bad is, it will need tires in the near future. Some of the gauge lights are burned out. Not all the automatic door locks operate and one power window does not work correctly. The check engine light is on and it indicates a glow plug sensor malfunction. It has been on with that same code for a long time but the truck starts right up everytime. So there you have it. A great running truck with a few minor issues representative of its age. It is being sold as is with no warranties implied. Email me if you are interested.
