Hello up for bid is my friends 1955 Mercury Montclair. Very nice condition. Older restoration that shows very well. This is a running a driving car that has been shown at several local area car shows and driven in many parades. Just driven on a 200 plus round trip. Engine= 292 ci. ( runs nice, has a little oil drip...oil pan? ) * NEW FUEL PUMP, * NEW RADIATOR, * BELTS, HOSES, TUNE UP ITEMS. * BRAKES ARE VACUUM ASSIST, THOUGH BOOSTER NEEDS ADJUSTMENT. Transmission= Merc-O-matic Factory options = AIR CONDITIONING!!! check out the rear package tray and the headliner, very cool for 1955 and really rare. POWER STEERING ( has a drip at one of the assist lines below) works great! New exhaust/mufflers. New shocks. Interior is in excellent shape, rear seat has a fold down armrest. Undercarriage and sheetmetal is in very nice condition, rockers, frame rails all look good. Only a couple of spots of corrision in the factory metal ( see pics) golf ball size spot at underside RH rear, not in the trunk though it is on the bottom side & the LH front pan has a similar spot of corrosion. THIS CAR NEVER SEES BAD WEATHER AND IS ALWAYS KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE. CHROME is in great shape, with only a small mark on the front bumper. Glass shows well also.
