Vehicle Detail
"If You Ever Wanted a HOT Z-Car... THIS Is The One For You!" Nissan assembled fewer than 4,000 convertibles over a three-year production run -- just owning a convertible Z for yourself is special! The convertible Z-car shape is unmistakable. Top down, the safety hoop provides for rollover protection and a firm place to mount seat belts while contributing greatly to chassis strength. Besides, there are a number of convertibles like Mustangs and Camaros whose owners add them for style, so no points off for that! This baby is a Five Speed! No messing around with automatics here, when you want a HOT sports car, you need to have a manual tranny. This particular Nissan 300zx Convertible has been done up to be a real head turner, its the hottest car on the streets when you get cruising. I would love to keep the car, love to. The only reason I'm selling is, quite honestly, I just bought a new car direct from factory and need the space in my garage. This Z-car has never spent a day outside. I keep it in my garage under-cover all the time. So the though of having to put it outside when my new baby gets here hurts me. I want this Z to go to someone who understands that this car is truly unique and deserves a good home.Ok, I'm sure you want to know what mods have been done to this car. There are many and I'm going to attempt to get them all listed for you... Rims/Rubber: It has Ruff Racing rims, 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 on the rear surrounded by 235/40 rubber up front and 275/35 on the rear with less than 1,700 miles on them, so as you can see quite wide on the rear but allows for amazing handling. Braking: Bringing this Z to a stop is a Brembo brake system with slotted and cross drilled rotors. Exterior Effects: For the visual appeal, there is a Stillen GTZ-R front fascia with mesh grille, Stillen ducted center panel, Kaminari rear bumper, and Veilside custom side skirts. Unique to this Z, and something that I have never seen on another, is the custom Lotus spoiler that is molded into the trunk as well as Lotus side mirrors. This ensures you will not be driving around in a Z like everyone else in town. Lights: There are HID 4300K headlamps installed as well as brand new fog lights and smoked corner signals. On the rear there is new JDM tail lights and center piece. Paint: The outside of the Z has an amazing Sunburst Orange paint job, done by the legendary Pit Stop Performance in Phoenix. This was a $3,500 3-stage paint job that came out absolutely beautiful as hopefully you are able to tell in the pictures. The clear coat looks like a mirror when looking into it. Drop Top: The convertible roof top is brand new costing $1,200 to purchase and install. It is black, works without a hitch and looks great. Interior Sound: There is a $1,600 Alpine sound system installed that includes an Alpine deck controlled through an IPOD, (2) 6 and a half inch Alpine Type R door speakers and a Alpine 4 channel digital amp that is installed under the passenger seat. There is also an Alpine center channel speaker in the slot just below the deck. Interior Style: White face gauges are installed that glow a stunning blue at night. The seats have new leather covers with the Z-Logo on the backrests. The e-brake, stick shift and shifter boot is brand new. Dynamat was installed inside the doors between the metal and door panel to reduce vibrations and improve overall sound quality. Exhaust: The new Stillen stainless steel cat-back exhaust system sounds amazing. Not only does it add horsepower, but it has a nice rumble to it -- not some obnoxious high pitch sound like some of these fart can systems you hear on Civics and the like this -- exhaust system is top notch! The A/C works super good and the Z is also equipped with drivers side power seat, power windows, and cruise control. The interior climate control controls work ok. I bought this Z from a professional golfer in AZ. Prior to buying it, he had installed a new clutch, harness, sensors, plugs, catalytic converters and seals. He also did a transmission rebuild and replaced the rack and pinion steering. Nissan did not have the twin turbo as an option in any of the convertibles that they produced. However, the V6 that they did install had plenty of power. The v6 engine in this Z car runs ok. I'm sure real z-enthusiasts would just pop in a JDM Twin Turbo to make the car really pop (that's what I would do if I kept it, but its not necessary at all). Something to note, since the dashboard has been changed from original, the mileage on the old (original) odometer was approx 119,097 prior to the swap. The mileage showing is 48,342. When I registered the car, I told my insurance provider the car is “TMU” or “true mileage unknown” but they just listed what was on the odometer at approx 48k. Honestly, the odometer does not concern me at all but just to clarify so there is no misunderstanding, the chassis of this car has 119,097 miles on it and the dashboard odometer has 48,342. I wanted to get all this information out there so you can make a fully informed decision before bidding. There is nothing that I am trying to hide or not disclose in any form or fashion. I really have not had any problems with this Z since owning it. Keep in mind when bidding, the car itself is 18 years old. I have replaced the battery, alternator, and starter. Also, the car has not leaked a single ounce of any fluid in my garage in all the time that I've owned it. Ok, I know that was long but there was alot to talk about with this Z. She is truly a one of a kind legendary sports car and it kills me that I'm listing it for sale but life moves forward and you have to do things sometimes that you don't want to do. All the modifications listed above have verifiable receipts. I have the original owners manual along with the original window sticker listing this car for over $39K back in 1993. Again, this Z is unlike any other and turns heads wherever you go. Whether the buyer of it keeps it as it is or drop a T/T in her, it will only increase in value. There has been over $13,000 in modifications to the car, and obviously I don't expect to get all the money out of it that was put into it, but at the same time I don't have to sell it so I am not going to give this car away for nothing either. I'll be more than happy to show this car to anyone who would like to see it before bidding. I know that if you do you wont be disappointed. The Z is being sold "as is" with no warranty. YOU ARE NOT BIDDING ON THE OPPORTUNITY TO COME AND LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND DECIDE IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE VEHICLE AND IT IS a legal and binding contract to purchase the vehicle. PLEASE HAVE ALL YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER PRIOR TO BIDDING. THE ITEM IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME. THE HIGH BIDDER HAS 5 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE DEAL and is responsible for shipping or local pick up. If you have any questions at all about the Z, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
