Up for auction is my 1980 Honda CBX motorcycle. This bike is a real survivor, I have not seen a nicer original CBX in person. I am sure there are a few out there but this is one is exceptional. It has 9K original miles on it. I am the third owner. Ride it anywhere it will not let you down. It has always been garaged and it shows! The electrics and connectors etc are amazingly perfect. I will list the main items and condition: Gas tank: Always oiled every winter, perfect inside, no rust etc. paint is perfect, no dings, dents, chips or scratches. Fuel petcock is a pingle, old one leaked a bit. I have another nice OEM petcock that comes with the bike. Honda emblems, gas cap, etc.. are great, no rust or pitting, only a new tank could be nicer. Side panels: Perfect Tail: super clean, one tiny chip on the edge but will not show in photo’s Front fender: There is a small scratch toward the rear, and a small smudge.. you can only see the smudge at a certain angle. See the picture. The fender looks great, do not let the pictures fool you. the little scratch is like a 1/4" long but I am trying to so all the imperfections as little as they are! Seat: perfect as new, not faded, not ripped, zero imperfections. Gauges: Super clean, you could not find a cleaner set unless they are new! Controls: Real nice shape. 9 out of 10 shape Wheels: amazing shape, only a few marks, paint perfect, see the picture. Tires: older tires with very little use, still great shape, not dry rotted etc. Suspension: Air caps up front, adjustable rear shocks, super shape Brakes: super shape, left caliper just rebuilt Forks: not a chip, no leaks perfect shape Oil cooler: Prefect, no dents or bent fins, lines perfect Head light: perfect, no chips, chrome trim perfect Horn: perfect, no rust or paint peeling. Foot controls: super shape. Pipes: Original pipes, super clean. Very few marks on the end of the pipes, you cannot see them to easy, you need to look at a certain angle to see them, fine scratches, can not see in a picture, no rust. 9.0 out of 10 no dents! Engine: super clean, very little oxidation, runs perfect. Could use a new valve cover gasket soon as old one is just now starting to seep just a bit at the spark plug area(see picture). No broken fins. Bolts etc: There is no rust on any bolts, they are all super. Sprocket and chain: Great shape, chain guard looks prefect. Bike tools and manual: perfect, very little writing in it, tool kit, with rear shock adjuster and front shock air pump tool. If your looking for a great investment this might be the bike to get. They are rising in value fast for ultra clean ones. If you need more specific pictures please contact me. Legal stuff: It is up to the winning bidder to pick the bike up or arrange shipping, I live next door to work so I can be here to help load the bike, drain fluids what ever is needed, I collect bikes so it will be stored with my other bikes until they come to pick it up. Winning bidder needs to send a deposit of $500 via money order or papal within 4 business days after the end of the auction. Balance of payment is due 2 weeks after the deposit is received, unless we make a different agreement. Checks or money orders will need to clear in the bank before I release the bike. Obviously cash is another option. I have a clean title in my name with matching VIN, mileage etc., I can provide a notorized bill of sale if you need one.
