1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 only 150 miles on new restoration. This FJ is RUST FREE! The diamond plate on the rear fenders is for cosmetic purposes only and NOT to cover up rust or holes in the body. It has been painted a couple of times which turned out to be a good thing because it preserved the body. The body was removed from the frame and completely disassembled down to every nut and bolt. The frame and body were blasted down to bare metal and the body panels were taken to the body shop to be worked over and painted. All of the body work was done at a professional restoration shop that has been in business for several years and has an excellent reputation. The body was painted in a base/coat clear/coat in an awesome E4 Ford Bright red (no orange tint to it) and the top and grill was painted in a Toyota Bright White. The body was reassembled using all new glass mouldings, felts and weather stripping supplied by Spectre Offroad. The underside of the body was painted in a hardened chassis black, and the tub is coateed with Line-X bedcoating. It has all new Ultra Bright Silverstar Headlights and turn signal assemblies. It also has new front and rear bumpers, and the front end has a Profits Cruisers spring over and Hi-steer kit with all new poly bushings. The heavy duty front axle has a Toyota front disk brake conversion kit with a new master cylinder, brake pads, rotors, calipers, steel and rubber brake lines, as well as new wheel bearings and seals. It also has a Toyota 4 speed manual transmission and transfer casethat use a Downy off road adapter, and a new clutch disc, pressure plate, throughout and pilot bearing, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and steel and rubber lines. It has 35" Procomp Mudterrain tires ( with the nubs still on them, see picture) on new 15" wheels. The fuel-injected Chevy Vortec 5.7L gives you all of the power and better gas mileage, with a direct-fit wiring harness from Howl Industries for that perfect fit and finish. It has a new fuel pump, steel and rubber lines and sensors, new aluminum heavy duty four core radiator, new heater core, and all new belts and hoses. All of this powered by a new Optima Red-Top battery with heavy duty 2 gauge battery cables. All other wiring and switches have also been replaced with new parts. Block Hugger Headers with a true 2.5" exhaust, Flowmaster Super 44's, and 3" stainless steel exhaust tips complete the package. The interior is all new with a custom bench seat that has a fold down armrest with a built in cup holder. The apholstery is black carbon fiber with red thread and piping, wrapped in vinyl diamond plate with matching jump seats. The dash was cleaned up with a matching aluminum panel that hides all ofd the switches for that super clean look. All gauges are new Autometer Ultra-Lites, with a hidden fuel pump cutoff switch under the dash. It has a rollbar and a 9000XI Warn Winch. The custom heavy duty Safari Rack is coated with Line-X bed coating and is easily removeable if not needed. The cruiser is a 1973 so it is exempt from most emmisions testing but would pass if necissary. If you have any more Questions, would prefer a phone call but will answer emails.
