1979 Honda Gold Wing

This Goldwing was purchased by my father a few years ago. The seller told us that the miles were original and that the bike smoked a little upon firing after having sat on the sidestand for a while, which is normal for these kind of bikes. I rode it down the highway and back and it ran fine. We hauled it back to Sioux Falls, where after a few weeks of being parked, I couldn't get it started before the battery kept dying. My dad had it hauled to Huron and had new electronic ignition and battery installed. They took a while to do it, and meantime my dad's health failed. We finally hauled it back to Sioux Falls this spring, a few weeks before he passed. It starts and runs great. I don't know enough about the bike to say fore sure if it's 8597 miles or 108597, but the odometer reads "08597.3" as of tonight, September 18, 2011. A fellow that has stopped to look at it while I had it parked in the front lawn says it sounds better than his, which had over 70,000. The handle bar seems tweeked a little, like it had been dropped, and there are scuff marks on engine guard, blinker, etc. The lens for front blinker flew off on trip back from Huron. I'm confident that this bike would take you anywhere you wanted to go without any problems. I've got two of everything now that he's passed, and my interests are with other toys. I also have an '86 BMW 325 es for sale, and a '66 Ford F-100 Stepside(I need my driveway back!!) Please, ask questions
