This is a California car and is still holding ALL the correctly stamped original metal from the doors to the fenders to the quarters, trunk pan has been replace when the car was painted apx 7 years ago before they had factory replacement pans available so it was just done with flat metal, could stand to be replaced now just to bring up to standards set by the rest of the car.This is a FULLY documented car with the Cowl, Radiator, Door sticker, Vin Tag, and Fender Tag ALL matching.You will not be disappointed in this car, I am encouraging bidders to come see and drive or send inspectors and firmly believe the car will impress.This car starts, stops, runs, and drives fantastic, with no known issues. She will take you anywhere and show nicely. Car was an orginal 318 but now has a stock build six pack 440 HP motor, it is not numbers matching, however it is correct with RV cam that gives it a nice lope and sound with the flow masters running out the back Cuda tips. Car runs as outstanding as it looks with no over heating problems or issues and the 727 trans shifts nice and firm with the slap stick fully operational and quick! Rear gears I believe are 323's and has no problem cruising at 75 mph down the freeway without winding the rpm's up. Last road trip was Sacramento area about 2 1/2 hrs away in the middle of a 100 degree day through stop and go traffic with no problems. You can fly in and drive her home if you like. As far as electrical on the car, ALL of the gages, lights, radio, signals, wipers etc. are fully functional and working(even the door buzzer and lighter still work!!!) The paint is Original 1971 FE5 Rallye Red painted roughly 7 years ago and got a brand new orginal color black vynle top as well. Interior also has been redone in orginal black. There is a door paint ding on the passenger side door that most competent painters could buff out no problem I am sure, please view the video to get a better look at it. In April the car got Brand new shocks, steering box with new tie rod ends & idler arm and complete removal and replacement on all the front suspension then got Brand new Power Disk breaks and master cylinder up front, all of this with power steering makes her handle very well to say the least. It also had, at the same time, the left and right door widow mechanisms restored to roll up and down smoother & radiator core replaced. As you can tell, alot of time, money and care have been put into this car, its will make someone very happy without having to deal with many "old car issues", they have already been dealt with. I believe since this car spent most of it's life as a stock 318, it just has not seen the beating that most of these barracuda's see, so it runs and drives solid without feeling like its been down the race track a few too many times. NOTE: CAR DOES COME THE STOCK RALLYE WHEELS AND LIKE NEW BFGOODRICH TIRES IN TWO OF THE PICS, THE CHROME WHEELS AND TIRES ARE AN AVAILABLE OPTION TO PURCHASE WITH THE CAR AT LESS THAN MY COST ADDITIONAL TO THE BUYER IF WANTED AFTER THE SALE.
