Vehicle Detail
1965 TR6SR Trophy or Tiger, unsure. Bike has been parked in storage since 1980's. Has not been registered since then. I was told when I got it the stator wires got chewed up in the chain so it was parked. They are chewed up! Bike has matching frame and engine numbers. Amal Monobloc carb. Bike is not all original tho. battery eliminator kit done, way back in the day. Front end replaced with Cerriani (Italian) performance forks and trees. No gauges and headlamp is incorrect. It has some common 60's and 70's stuff done to it like chroming a bunch a parts that should have been black. No cut or rake of frame, all intact for a great restoration. Engine is not froze. I haven't kicked it thru, just put it in gear and rolled it back and forth a few times to make sure. The Kicker spring is broke (I think) Everything under that cover feels gummed up such as clutch, shifter and kicker engages sometimes. I have not pulled the cover but have restored so many of these that I am confident it is in need of a good cleaning of insides of outer tranny cover. Tank has no rust or varnish inside at all. Looks as if fuel was drained when it was parked. Original key is still in the ignition switch. Pictures show overall condition better than I can describe. Could be made to run and ride without to much trouble but correct restoration will require a tear down and powder coating of frame and all the incorrectly chromed pieces. I have had the bike two years and it is still 5 bikes behind my other personal restorations so I am gonna let it go as I have less and less time for my hobbies these days. No title but was last registered in Texas and is definitely not stolen. Last owner just never titled it and lost the title over the last 25 years. I will provide notarized bill of sale. I can get a title for from local title company for an additional 175.00$ above the sale price if you need. Each state is different tho and yours may only need bill of sale with vintage vehicles. I can answer ANY questions you have as I restored Triumphs, BSA's and Nortons professionally for 10 years in the 90's. Now I just restore bikes for myself, Mostly Guzzi's and BSA's these days. I am not listing a buy it now price but will take offers into consideration. I am not shipping. I am not crating. I will deliver within 75 miles for the cost of my gas and maybe a cold 12 pack would make it worth my while! I do not accept payment on delivery. Pay, then deliver. I have been burned by tire kickers to many times this way. Full Payment expected within 7 days of close of auction. A 500$ deposit is due within 3 days of close of auction. I will not refund the 500$ if you change your mind. Just ask if you have any questions or need more pics. The pics shown were taken the day I listed the bike so they are accurate.Happy bidding! On Sep-20-11 at 10:31:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I tried to remove the reserve from this bike but can't figure out how. So....it is 1001.00$ because ebay requires it to be more than the current bid. Also, for all of you asking if you can ride it home: It has not run in over 20 years so no you can't ride it home unless you are sitting on it in the back of your truck while going down the highway. (litttle joke!)
