Vehicle Detail

1970 Chevelle 2 Door 3 Speed Standard Transmission, New Clutch (less than 3k miles) Paint and body could use redoing...good 20 footer. Headliner needs to be replaced. Car runs and drives great. I've put about 3k miles on it this summer. It has a new Sony Head Unit with Pioneer 6x9s in carpeted boxes literally velcroed to the back seat...but it works great for a daily driver condition muscle car. It needs nothing to continue being a daily driver. It averages about 18mpg. Last tank I got 20.2 MPG. It has a new (less than 3k miles) HEI distributor. It has the original Rochester 2G 2 barrell carb on what I think is the original 307. It is not fast...but it is surprisingly peppy. It has a new one wire alternator. It has a new Sunpro 3 gauge cluster (not shown in the pics). It needs a driver side header gasket. It is an easy install...I did it about 2.5k miles ago and forgot to check the header bolts...they loosened up and the gasket blew. The seats are not the correct seats. I'd guess the front seat is out of a 4 door or a truck or something. The back seat, I am not sure. The front bench is a tan cloth bench, the rear is a red vinyl bench. The door panels are beat. The dash is cracked. But, this Chevelle runs and drives great! The heater blower motor needs to be replaced. If I keep it, I will be doing that. I put a late 70s trans am sway bar in it (1.25") and it handles much better. Highway speeds, it slowly warms up to about 220. For a long road trip, I would keep an eye on that...maybe replace the radiator with a new one(if I keep it, I will). Idleing, it is fine. I've driven it about 2500 miles back and forth to work (30 miles each way) and I also took it to Atlantic City (50 miles each way). I have to add water to the cooling system every few days. I just make sure to top it off. It's been that way the entire time for the past couple thousand miles. Before winter, I'd recommend draining the system and adding antifreeze. The car was an original 3 speed column shift standard transmission. The colum is still the original column. The engine numbers and vin are: Behind Alternator:10A 9 98 also 10428CNC Behing DIstributor:3870024 VIN:1 36370A159598 There has been a patch panel installed on the passenger side lower quarter panel and like a 3/4 patch on the driver side quarter panel. This car has dark green paint under the black paint. It may have been originally green. This car is a great driver, so if anyone wants to take a test drive or check it out, get in touch with me.
