Hi. This is a 1960 Cadillac 2 door hardtop. The owner of this car passed away years ago and it has been stored in a garage since. This is a completely rust free example of these fine Cadillacs. All though stored for years this car runs and drives fantastic. The engine starts right up and is whisper quiet. I will cover all the systems of this fine automobile. ENGINE: The engine starts right up both hot and cold and runs smooth and quiet. It has good power and I notice No smoke. TRANSMISSION: The hydramatic shifts smooth and works in all the gears. BRAKES: The car is equipt with power brake. Since the car has been setting I would advise rebuilding the wheel cylinders and maybe the master cylinder but as they are now the brakes work fine as does the parking brake. STEERING: The car is equipt with power steering. The system works good and the steers real nice going down the road. I did Not notice any leaks in the system. SUSPENSION & RIDE: The ride is smooth with no funny sounds from under the car. The suspension is tight and does not seem to need any work. TIRES: The tires while they look oK are old and should be replaced to make the car a freeway driver. There is No spare tire but the jack is in place. INTERIOR: The car has the original interior. The original interior looks very good and can be used as is with the exception of the top of the rear seat the sun has cracked the vinyl. The door panels are in good condition as is the headliner. The original carpet is in place and is pretty good. The dash pad has a few sun cracks in it but the dash chrome is nice and rust free. It has a 2 way power seat that for some reason does not work. The factory wonder bar radio is in place and works nice. Overall the interior is very presentable. GLASS: The car has power windows and they all work smooth and quiet. There is one side window that has a crack and the windshield has a crack running through it and should be replaced. BODY: I Can see no rust or rust repair and it has been rust free since new. The passingers side front, rear fender and door have some hail damage. It does not show up in the pictures but it is there. The roof, trunk, hood and left side only have a few hail hits so at some time the right side must have been exposed to the elements durring a storm but this is the only problem with the entire body. Both front and rear bumpers are in nice condition with nice chrome. Overall the car looks good and the body is super solid and completely rust free. The doors shut like like a new car and it is rattle free. NEEDS: This is a solid nice driving Cadillac that would only need minor brake system overhaul to be a excellent driver Or it would only need small dent repair and engine compartment detail to be transformed into a real nice car. To make the interior Mint it would need a dash pad and top of rear seat repair and the rest of the interior would work as is. This is the first time this car has been offered for sale and this is a No reserve auction so any winning bidder will get the car. The car is located in Anaconda, Montana.
