This is a complete car except for a missing turn signal lens and the front grill. I purchased the car in 1991 in Phoenix and last had it running in 1992, it did go forwards and backwards and stopped, however I never got it going fast enough to engage overdrive. Currently the engine turns over but I have not spent the time to get it running again. In 1993 after sitting for a year, I drained the fuel from the tank, removed the tank and had it cleaned out. I did not reinstall the gas tank, it is in the trunk. The car was repainted many years ago and the paint job was of poor quality. According to the previous owner, the paint on the trunk and roof was flaking off some years after the repaint, so he sanded it down and a thin coat of primer has been applied to these two areas. There is some rust as the car did not live its entire life in Arizona. Rust shows at the battery box, behind three of the tires at the bottom of the fenders and also around the front directional signals. The jacking points behind the front tires will also need to be replaced. I believe one of the photos show the rusted area behind the right rear tire that I sanded the paint off to give an idea of the extent of the rust. Rocker panels look OK. Interior will need to be reupholstered, top of the dash is cracked, and the carpet needs attention. Headliner looks pretty good. All the glass is present however the windshield does have a crack from a stone. Tires hold air but are badly cracked. Three of the wheels are after market, one was damaged at some point in the past and is gone. The hood has been unbolted from the hinges to avoid further damage as one hinge broke and support for the hood was compromised. Previous owner also did a park by touch which is why the grill is gone, front bumper is bent but I thought it was salvageable. Since 1991 the car has been stored in a garage in the Phoenix area, last year I moved it to a garage outside of Flagstaff, Arizona, however I am losing the garage space and have other projects which occupy my time. The car would be a candidate for restoration or as a parts car. The car cannot be driven in its current state and shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel this auction should it sell prior to the end of auction.
