Vehicle Detail
This is a 1960 Chevrolet Corvair in very nice shape for it's age. It has always been a california car. It has never seen road salt or harsh weather. It has dual carbs and they need to be synchronized to each other. And I think the electric fuel pump should be replaced. I believe it still works but sounds like it is going out. Whines quite a bit but still pumps the fuel. Anyway it could be a very nice old classic car if someone spent the time with it. Good luck bidding!!! The corvair also has brand new brakes all the way around. ADDED: it does have the fold-down back seat. Yes it has backup lights. Info off the fisher tag. Style 60-0769 Body OA10666 Trim 1-887 27 Paint 904A ACC D 6A 0553. The car also has new brakes all the way around. 4 brand new tires. But one of the rims has a ding at the bead area and leaks. But with a new rim it has 4 brand new tires. I am attaching some more pictures with the fold down back seat and the backup lights and the fisher tag. The car currently is not driveable until the fuel pump, carb sync is taken care of. It can be started and driven onto a trailer though. But will not idle without this being fixed. Also one tire or actually the rim has a bend and it leaks air slowly. Every few days needs air added. All 4 tires are brand new but the rim has some curb rash causing the tire to not seat perfectly. On Sep-15-11 at 08:45:30 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has the 6 cylinder engine called the flat-6 and also called the boxer engine. It defaulted to 4 cylinder in the listing and I missed it until now. It is the original flat-6 engine used exclusively in the 60's corvairs
