This is a matching number (including badge) that I purchased a couple of years ago from the second owner, who had bought it in the early 1980's to put on display in his private collection. He had the bike totally restored including a complete engine and transmissoin rebuild in the late 80's and the bike has only been ridden 471 miles since. When I purchased the bike the paint showed some age from sitting on display over the years, so I had the sheetmetal re-painted and hand striped last year. I had a BMW mechanic change all the fluids, re-pack the wheel bearings and completely check everything before I rode it. The bike starts on the first kick, runs very strong and rides like a dream, and it has Hoske re-production mufflers on it and that really sound great. The bar end signals are original Hella signals and everything works on the bike. The Continental tires will need replacing soon as they are cracking from being on the bike for over 20 years. This is the first year model for the R69S so if you are looking for a really nice bike to ride, don't miss out on this one. I have had only 1 negative feedback in 10 years and it was from a buyer in Turkey who tried to scam me and he also sells junk reproduction parts. Remember to buy genuine BMW parts!!!!
