You are bidding on an amazing 1978 Volkswagen Classic Super Beetle that our dealership acquired on trade recently. This vehicle is way too nice to just let go, so we have it parked in the showroom, and ready for bidding!! The 1978 Classic Beetle Convertible came to us by it's 2nd owners, local here in Washington State and in our city. The following information describes the vehicle to the best of our abilities. Exterior: The exterior paint is all original and in wonderful shape. There is no signs of any major accident or prior damage from the owners. There is a golf ball ding on the front hood of the vehicle that our dealership has already priced to repair through a company for only $70. The front of the lower left (driver's) side of the bumper is pulled approximately 3 inches from the previous owners having mis-towed the vehicle prior. Overall, we have to say the 1978 Classic Super Beetle is in wonderful shape and has no major flaws throughout the exterior. The vehicle has been a Washington State vehicle and any signs of rust that the vehicle shows is extremely minimal and surface rust. There are signs of minor surface rust on the exterior gas tank cap, and very minimal signs on the side rocker panel (running boards). The convertible top is practically brand new and in excellent condition, although during the dropping of the top, the previous owner accidently caught the right rear side of the top on a metal bracket and placed 2 very small 1 inch rips in the top. It has already been repaired, and doesn't look bad at all. Overall, it is in great shape. Interior: The dash on the 1978 Volkswagen Classic Beetle is in wonderful shape, as is all the rest of the interior, including door panels, dash, carpetting, the majority of the seats, etc... There is a minor tear, approximately 3-4 inches on the driver's seat, that may be repaired very simply. The seats themselves (front) need new cushions and springs, although the vinyl cover is in wonderful shape. This has been valued at an approximate value of $250 for both seats. The rear seats look great!! The carpets are all in tact, the moldings seem great, with no major appearance of wear and tear. The chrome throughout the vehicle is in great shape, no damage, dings, etc... Mechanical: The engine on the 1978 Volkswagen Classic Super Beetle has been completely rebuilt, maintained, and runs like a champ!! The previous owners had the vehicle continuously serviced by one of our local leading VW/Porsche/BMW/Audi experts. The 1978 VW starts every time and sounds awesome!! We are including lots of extra parts with the vehicle, from new drum brakes, a front tie rod end, and several other parts given to us by the previous owners. All the lights, and functions of the vehicle are in excellent working condition, and the winning bidder will defintely have a true VW Classic Beetle to enjoy for much time to come. All sales are final, and the dealership is selling the 1978 VW Classic Beetle AS/IS, WHERE/IS, NO IMPLIED NOR EXPRESSED WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER. We have an excellent rating on ebay and take pride in all the vehicles we sell. Our dealership reserves the right to end the auction early due to the vehicle being sold locally through our dealership also. All final sales and winning bidders will have to pay an additional $15.50 title release fee and a $150 documentary service fee. All WA State residents will pay all applicable licensing fees, 8.9% sales tax, and the $150 documentary service fee.
