Restore it to stock or Hot Rod it! It is a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible barn find that is ready to be built into the ultimate 55 you have always wanted. 1955, 1956, and 1957 convertibles are getting more and more difficult to find, especially ones that have not already been restored and have a near $100,000 price tag. This car will be sold and sold for a reasonable price! It is a true convertible as indicated by the 1067 code on the trim tag. It is very complete. The car was in storage in Nevada since 1985. It starts and moves but needs brakes. It is a very desirable factory Gypsy Red car with red interior. I believe the top was originally white. It is a power top. It is a small block Chevy V-8 with a Powerglide automatic transmission. The body on the Bel Air needs some restoration. If you own a body shop or have connections for bodywork this could be the ideal car for you. The frame is solid. The front floorboards are solid. The rear floors are soft and have rust. The front fenders are pretty solid. It does have some rust above the passenger side headlight. The rear quarters need some rust repair although I personally would replace both with new ones from Danchuk or one of the big parts warehouses and do it right. The trunk pan needs to be replaced. IT NEEDS TO BE RESTORED! The interior is very complete down to the original radio that still works. I have a clean, clear title in hand. The Chevy is sold in used, "as is" condition.
