1966 Ford Mustang Coupe You are bidding on running and driving 1966 Mustang that would make a great father son project car. We just took this car in on trade and since we do not do restorations, we are offering it at NO RESERVE! That’s right, the final bid owns the car. The owner had driven the car to us from over an hour away on the Parkway at highway speeds so you know it’s a good driver. It was currently registered and insured and has a NJ inspection sticker from 2010. It has some cosmetic issues but when you are done, you’ll have a great fun classic Mustang. This would also make a good base for a Resto-Mod build. The body is all there but has the normal typical rust issues these Mustangs usually get. We’ll start from the bottom up. The front frame rail on the driver’s side will need repair. The passenger side has surface rust from a leaky battery. The floors are fairly solid with a couple spots of rust. The rockers are solid. Both quarter panels will need to be replaced. The doors have rust. The driver’s fender is nice; the passenger has a little rust that can be easily fixed. The hood and trunk lid are solid. The chrome is older or original. The nice thing is you can buy all the chrome for these at reasonable prices. Obviously the paint will need to be redone after you do the bodywork. The interior is in ok shape but will need some restoration work. Mainly the vinyl pieces need a good scrubbing with some cleaner/degreaser. The carpet is original and faded. The seats are in decent original condition. The passenger side has a small hole/tear that can be easily fixed. The door panels are in decent shape. The headliner is in good shape with just one tiny hole the size of an eraser. The dash pad was previously painted to match the seats and the paint is flaking off. She has an Audiovox AM/FM/Cass/Eq stereo in place of the original radio. The 200cid straight 6 runs good. It has good power and seems to be a decent runner. The C4 Automatic shifts well. It as manual steering and manual brakes. The brakes stop well. The rear springs were recently replaced and the suspension rides ok. It drives fine down the road. You can drive this while you are fixing the cosmetics. Overall, you are bidding on a project car you can drive while you work on it. It will need some body repair but it’s a great car for the hobbyists who can do the work themselves and have a lot of fun doing it. BID TO OWN because its NO RESERVE!
