Here is a opportunity for any Corvette enthusiast. Private collector is selling off some of his personal Corvettes. Be sure to check out my other auction for a 1965 Corvette Coupe. This auction is for a Beautiful 1960 Corvette. The current owner has owned this beauty for over 10 years, who acquired it from its previous Corvette collector of 20+ years. The car is a 283 230hp V8 with a automatic transmission with a mere 98k miles. Its a numbers matching car that was ordered with a rare option of power windows!!. Out of 10,261 cars only 544 were equipped with power windows. This Honduras Maroon (1,202 ordered in this shade) Vette is believed to have all of its original paint, except for the right fender and trunk lid. It shows beautifully for being so old. Always being stored in a climate controlled garage has kept it in its time capsule like condition. You will see in some spots of the paint where the original paint has worn thin, the owner decided to keep it as it its, to really keep it original. Restored is nice, but it can only be original ONCE!!!!!!!!! He has however spruced it up in some other aspects. He installed a brand new white convertible top, and he is so anal about his cars he refuses to put the top down now because it "may wrinkle the fabric". A new dash pad was installed as the original was starting to warp, a new windshield was also installed. When the windshield was replaced all the windshield trim was replaced. All the original dash gauges have been restored, along with a new carpet and new door panels. We do still have the original door panels for the new owner to retain with the car. This sixty also came with a AM wonder bar radio, to keep its originality, but modernize its function the owner has "updated" the radio. It retains its factory shell, look and design, just the insides have been modernized to play FM, AM, and also have a ipod jack behind it. Just looking at it you would never know. A very nice upgrade. It runs and drives as beautiful as it looks. Given that statement you can imagine it has won many first place spots at local shows. The owner is getting older and cant enjoy the car as he once did, so he is reducing his collection to just a few corvettes to have and enjoy, and pass the rest on to other Vette fans to enjoy and continue to show the cars as they are intended.
