This is a great example of a 1979 w123 300CD The car was originally purchased in Glendale California and spent most of it's life in that area. Previous owner brought the car to Missouri 6 years ago.This is a nice clean vehicle that I purchased as a long term investment for a complete restoration due to it being a very solid car. I am selling do to an upcoming job transfer and will not have a place to store it. This vehicle has been very well maintained. I have recently replaced the glow plugs, battery,vacuum pump,belts,fuel filters, vacuum line, oil pan gasket, dash cover, original wheel covers and rocker panels have been refinished by a professional, steering gear has been adjusted for tight steering, and the sale will includes a trans oil gasket and filter, ( I have not had time to install) The prior owner replaced the brakes,brake booster and the timing chain was replaced at 219k. The vehicle has always been licensed and is currently a spare/weekend car. (Odometer reading might be slightly higher) The tires are 80%, the paint is mostly original ( I think the hood has been repainted) an looks good for it's age but as any paint that is 32 years old at a close inspection shows some minor flaws, around the sunroof, windshield post have been touched up minor spots. I have the original owners manual, tool kit, sale receipts , and service invoices. At this time the AC is not working and I have not had time to research the problem but did notice when the wood trim was removed that not all the vacuum lines are connected to the AC controls. Also the prior owner had a mechanic add a heater/AC valve to the heater lines so that in the winter the value open heats the vehicle but in the summer can be turned off. The AC system still has freon in it and the compressor works on defrost. In the photos the radio is out due to the recent interior wood trim refurbishment but it is reinstalled and does work.. The negative : The Rt front seat has a 1/8 inch tear (visible in the photos) the drivers seat has a tear on the side next to the seat adjustment handle both tears have been repaired to limit additional damage. The top of the rear seat is sun faded and dry cracked from age. The antenna does not work. All windows , sunroof work and have been lubricated recently.
