Vehicle Detail
This has been a great second car for us for the last 5 years, very dependable. BRAND NEW WINDSHEILD. Pictures were taken last week before the new windshield was put in. Very smooth riding car, has been a pleasure to ride in. Simply time to say goodbye to one car too many. This is the DTS, so it has the peppier engine compared to the other DeVille models of the same year. Has back-up sensors, warning lights and chimes alert you to getting closer and closer to obstacles behind when backing up. Windshield has rain sensor, so when the wipers are turned on, they only wipe when the sensor detects enough rain to need to wipe. Can be over-riden, but a very handy feature when intermittent rain or mist takes a while to build up to the point of obscuring vision. Many standard features that are impressive: leather seats, power door locks, windows, seats, rear seat cooling and heating controls, BOSE sound system that sounds great. Heated front seats, drivers side doesn't work all the time. Color is listed as tan in description. Cadillac calls the color "cashmere", and it is very smooth. Interior is more cream color to me than tan, main thing is if you like it or not! Appearance is good for an 11 year old car. Notice there is a small piece out of the front bumper on the passenger's side. Doesn't affect how the car runs, just something a person might notice isn't quite right with it. Lately there has been a message show up on the dash saying the suspension system has a flaw. I had the same message show up 2 years ago for several weeks. After it showed up consistently for a few weeks, it was gone........up til a few weeks ago, that is. So, it is there, but, it hasn't been a concern to me. Can't tell the vehicle's ride is "off" at all, still rides smoothly. But, something you need to be aware of if you are considering buying this car. There is a small burn on the driver's seat that was there when I bought the car 5 years ago. Kelly Blue Book values the car at $4500. I've lowered the starting price to $2500, still with no reserve. If only one person bids by auction end, they own the car at that price. With the upgrade rims and good tires, I figure the car would be a great value at the KBB price. This is an 11 year old used car. I have been honest with the condition, but don't expect new. Hope this gives you enough information to base a decision on.
