Vehicle Detail

1950 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe. I purchased this car from a retired jet mechanic who purchased it at an estate sale in 1979. The car was purchased from the estate of the original owner and not driven on the road or state inspected since 1960. The car was parked when it was ten years old. I replaced the wheel and brake cylinders, installed a new gas tank, new fuel pump and put on four new radial wide white wall tires, Coker, and tubes. Car runs and drives good, steers and stops well. The gas guauge does not work, nor does the horn or turn signals. I drive it with the old inspection sticker and old plates on it. I do have it insured and current registration. Very solid body with the exception of area's behind the gravel guards on both rear fenders and the area betwenn the trunk lid and rear bumper. Paint is original as is the interior. Seats have old covers on and are not pretty. Door panels are presentable and the headliner is good. I put a new one piece bumper on the front, rear is original. Original motor and 3 speed on the tree. Starts every time. still all 6 volt. I have Fenton split manifolds that I will let go with the car. No reserve but I do have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.Very solid floors, trunk, doors, fenders, underside. You could spend thousands restoring it to a pristine show car, or do what I do now. Drive as is and keep it as a show stopper. More folks stop to look at this car than the restored trailer queens. Lower it and add pin stripes and turn it into a rat rod. No worries about scratches and people "touching It". Own it, drive it and enjoy it.On Sep-03-11 at 07:28:56 PDT, seller added the following information: The pictures of the car on the trailer is the conditon I bought it in. I added a nicer grill and new front bumperOn Sep-03-11 at 07:31:15 PDT, seller added the following information: The photos of the car on the trailer is how I purchased it. I added a new front bumper, better grill, new tires and a used visor.Plus the above mentioned mechanical work
