Vehicle Detail

If you are a serious buyer looking for a Shelby GT500, this car is the one for you. Use the compare button at the left of the listings and compare this car to any other listed and you will see that it has more than any others listed and at a lower price in just about every case. I have priced this car to sell. It has numerous upgrades that enhance the engine, interior, and drive train. The pictures show most of them and if there are any questions, please feel free to call me. My phone number is listed at the end of this ad. The base price on the vehicle was $43,000 and I have put over $7,800 in the engine and almost $3,000 in dress up items under the hood and in the interior. (see pictures) It is Performance White with Vista Blue stripes. The color of the original Shelby GT vehicles. It has sequential turn signals sold by Shelby Motors. It comes with two sets of wheels and tires. Both sets have the tire pressure monitor system bands in them. The OEM wheels and tires and also a set of Black Shelby 20" Razor wheels with low profile tires. You can actually make this vehicle have two different looks, one with the original GT500 appearance and the other with blacked out headlights and fog lights with the black rims and tires. (see pictures) Under the hood there is a Ford Racing 2.3 literTwin Vortice Supercharger that replaced the original equipment 2.0 liter roots type supercharger. It has a Ford Racing cold air intake (with three filter elements, two for driving and one for car shows only) and Ford Racing ceramic coated headers with 3 1/2" Ford Racing mufflers and exhaust tips. (Probably the sweetest sounding exhaust you'll ever hear - not obnoxiously loud, but a deep throaty growl that commands respect) It also has BMR lower control arms to help prevent wheel hop. All of the engine caps are Shelby Cobra logo, including the fuse box cover. It has Shelby brushed aluminum strut caps and strut bolt covers. (see pictures) The interior has Shelby Cobra logo floor mats (two sets, one unused for show and one for driving). It has Shelby Cobra logo on the head rests and the console cover. The SVT sill plates were replaced with Shelby GT500 plates which came with the signed dash plate and certificate of authenticity from Carroll Shelby. (see pictures) There are many "little" extras that come with this vehicle including a GT500 key chain, certificate of authenticity from both Carroll Shelby and Ford Motor Company, the original Frontline Magazine covering the 2007 GT500, the window sticker (the original and a perfect reproduction copy), a GT500 parking sign, and a breakdown fact sheet of the different types of GT500's made in 2007. The vehicle has a clear title and shows 2 owners. The first owner bought three of these cars and when the GT500KR came out, he traded mine back in on it. It only had 200 miles on it which worked to my benefit because I did not have to pay the gas guzzler tax and the $10,000 over MSRP that dealers were charging at the time. The car has 20,000 miles which averages about 5,000 miles a year. I bought this car for driving and enjoying, not to be put in a garage for future resale. It has a couple of stone chips on the front fascia, but as you can see by the third picture of the vehicle, does not detract from the vehicles appearance. This is because as soon as I notice a blemish, I apply touch up paint and feather it out to stop any deterioration. (see the picture showing a close up of the front of the vehicle dated August 17th, 2011) It has been garaged every day of it's life and has only seen rain one time. Never in snow. It is protected with Ziebart's protection warranty (transferrable) on the interior, exterior and undercarriage. The car has an extended bumper to bumper warranty good until May 2013. Transferrable to the new owner. If you have looked in to GT500's seriously, you know that all of these vehicles built from 2007 to September 2009 had a Technical Service Bulletin issued from Ford (TSB 09-19-11) warning that the flywheel and clutch could develop problems. This vehicle has had the upgraded flywheel, clutch, transmission input shaft and synchronizers replaced by Ford Motor Company to prevent this problem. (another $5,000 in upgrades) Most people with low mileage GT500's sitting in their garages will never have this free upgrade done because it doesn't manifest itself until around 8,000 miles or so. So somebody in the future will end up paying out of their pocket for this upgrade. NOT WITH THIS ONE! The vehicle has been serviced every 2,500 miles (recommended is 5,000). All records and receipts are available for anything ever done to this car. This vehicle is extremely fast and is running more rear wheel horsepower than a ZR1 Corvette. It has never been raced and has never had the clutch "popped" to burn out. It doesn't need to since the vehicle will burn out if you depress the gas pedal to the floor in 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd gear. You will never be wanting for power or speed. It will average 25 MPG on the highway and around 16 MPG in the city. The larger supercharger actually gave it an increase of 2 MPG due to the easy "breathing" and larger exhaust. If you drive the car normally, it will give you great MPG numbers. This car is fun to drive, is very docile until you press the gas to the floor and draws attention wherever you go. I have all the original equipment including the supercharger, header pipes, mufflers, lower control arms, air cleaner, and the tuner with the original PCM data stored in it if you ever want it back to OEM specs. I have only put Ford Racing or Shelby parts on it to keep it true to the Ford/Shelby name. The listing only shows a driver air bag, it actually has driver, passenger, and side air bags as well. I think this vehicle speaks for itself, so if you are serious and want the best vehicle for your money, this is definitely it! If you have any questions, please feel free to call me after noon between 1-6 pm (EST) and I will gladly tell you whatever you need to know. My number is 614-268-6892.
