Up for auction is a 1989 BMW 325i convertible, Alpine white with black interior, sport seats, sport steering wheel, sport wheels, heated seats, one-family vehicle with 90,160 original miles. Nothing has ben altered or modified on this car, dashboard is perfect with no cracks, interior and exterior are in very good condition and car has original owner's handbooks. I am starting the bidding low because of some minor issues: There are two small tears in the driver's seat and seam is separating slighly on rear seat upper side and can be easily reapired, a small scrape on left quarter panel and the windshield is cracked. Everything works and there is no rust on the car at all for an East Coast car.. A friend has known the original owner personally since she had the car new and learned that she was selling it after the timing belt failed and i bought it to fix and keep but decided to sell it. The car has had approximately 2700 dollars worth of new parts spent on it recently. The Cylinder head has been redone completely, the canvass top was replaced recently by the owner just before the timing belt failure. Here is list of items done to the car: new timing belt, idler/ tentioner pulleys, water pump, engine front shaft seals, replacement cylinder head rebuilt by local reputable machine shop, pressure tested and with new valve guides, seals and valve job, new accessory drive belts, coolant hoses, thermostat housings, thermostat, new BMW coolant, distributor cap, rotor, wires, sparkplugs, air mass intake boot, new radiator fan, A/C drier and pressure safety switch, new interstate battery, new heater control valve, recently replaced rear exhaust, new instrument cluster SI ( service interval ) board. Car is clean and very presentable, runs and drives great. Great low-mileage classic car for the year. You can not replace this car for what I am asking for it, in this original condition with the amount of parts and labour hours spent on it.
