Here's a nice project or parts truck for you Dakota convertible guys, it's a 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport convertible. I understand there were just over 2400 of these made in 1989 by American Sunroof Company for Dodge. This one has a few things that need addressed but nothing too serious. It's 100% rust free except for minor surface rust where the paint has worn off, very minor. There are no signs of accident damage. It has sat for a few months. The transmission linkage broke some time ago. It won't shift in to the gears or park, it's stuck in neutral. It does run but it needs a new starter and a water pump. It has brand new tires on the front and the rears are not very old. The interior shows some signs of usage and age. The dash is cracked, and everything is faded somewhat. There is some wear on the drivers side of the seat and it could use new carpet. The drivers door glass is busted out and the rear window in the top is long gone. The drivers door is missing a hing pin, currently held on with a bolt and nut. There are dents and scrapes consistent with age and mileage. Odometer reads 233K and for that mileage, it's in pretty decent condition. It has an aftermarket Grant steering wheel. All of the original Dakota sport parts are there, air dam, wheels, fog lights, etc. This truck would make a great winter project. It wouldn't take much to get it back on the road.
