1964 PONTIAC GTO 389 TRI-POWER V8 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION TRUE PHS DOCUMENTED GTO NO RESERVE After much consideration and the need to build a new house I have decided to sell some of the vehicles in my collection. It breaks my heart to offer for sale this nice, TRUE 1964 GTO with a 389 V8 TRI-POWER and FOUR SPEED TRANSMISSION with 97,502 actual miles. I purchased this car from my father-in-laws best friends estate. He owned this car for many years and took great pride in owning it. I have the PHS documentation verifying the this is a true GTO, true 389, and true 4-speed car. This car was originally equipt with a 4 barrel carb but now has a working TRI-POWER. This is not a number matching car however the driveline is true to era. This car has an older restoration but he always stored it inside and never drove it in harsh weather. The body is solid including original floor pans. There are two places that are starting to bubble on the lower rear corner of the passenger door and on the lower right quarter panel infront of the rear wheel. The bumpers are the original and look good but the chrome is showing it's age. The interior was restored years back as well but still looks very good. This GTO runs and drives great! This GTO truly gets attention. I have always enjoyed all the waves, thumbs up, and horn honks that I get while driving this car. My heartbreak can be your next classic car enjoyment. It is not a perfect 100 point show car. There are some knicks and imperfections in the paint ( as stated above and seen in pictures ). Also as stated above this car does have an older restoration. It is however a good looking car that you can drive, take to shows, and be proud of. INTERIOR: Very nice. Not perfect but still nice. DRIVETRAIN: Starts, runs, and drives good. Motor runs strong and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smooth and solid. The car had been sitting for awhile so the carbs may need clean however I have been driving it the past couple of days and it appears to run fine. SHIPPING and PAYMENT: $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. If deposit has not been received within 48 hours of the end of the auction the vehicle will be relisted, no exceptions. Balance due upon pick up.
