Vehicle Detail
One of the most Classic Standard Motorcycles ever produced. Amazing power, and a smooth ride for its age. I am the 2nd owner, I purchased the bike two years ago, at that time it had only 3600 miles. This is my third CB900, I had thought that I would have the time to ride more, but after 2 years and having put only 250 miles on the bike I realize that I should probably sell her. The previous owner had done the following work, just prior to my purchase. Replaced fork seals, rebuilt carbs, new battery, took apart calipers and master cylinders and cleaned them, oil/filter changed , changed final drive fluid, installed brand new left side exhaust, checked and clean every electrical connection, checked valve clearances (all in spec), new rubber grommets for valve cover bolts, new valve cover gasket, new clutch cover gasket, new stator cover gasket. Since I got it, I have installed new tires (they now have less than 150 miles on them). Just put a new battery in, installed a used engine guard that I bought on e-bay (which is only in fair condition). The bikes run great, starts up easy, but like all the cb900 I have ever owned it is a little cold blooded till it warms up a bit. Brakes work great, suspension feels tight. Just what you would expect from a bike with less than 4000 miles. Cosmetic Flaws, I want to share all the things that make this bike less than perfect. Don't get me wrong this is a VERY good looking bike, that you would be proud to own. It does have a couple minor scratches, a couple on the fuel tank, withI ding (no dent) about 1/8 long. The chrome is in great shape, but does show minor scuffing in just a couple of spots, excluding the eng. guard which I had to buff out when I bought it. The speedo has a rub mark on the top. I have taken pictures of all the flawed areas. Let me know if you want me to send any more detailed shots. Also the seat which is in nice condition, has a small tear, aprox. 1 inch in lenght. I have probably spent to much time on what are very minot issues but I want to be very disciptive about any flaws. Mechanical Flaws, none that I know of.
