Vehicle Detail

Up for acution today is this great running and meticulously maintained 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD 4x4 Diesel. This is a NO Reserve Auction so BID TO WIN!!! Why buy Hybrid when you can have the same MPG but TWICE the Torque using Diesel? If you are looking for a great 4x4 with both good mileage and power to pull trailers and boats, look no further. This Jeep with it's Fiat Italian Diesel can obtain up to 29 mpg and has plenty torque to pull a fiberglass runabout, small camper, or utility trailers. This Jeep has Authority under the hood and you will really enjoy climbing hills or passing lesser gasoline powered cars. This Jeep has spent it's life on the highway 60 miles to/from work each day and spends it's off time in a heated garage. Standard to this Jeep are all the necessary options: CD/Satelite Sterio: Satelite was offered as a permanent option at time of purchase so it is still fully functional without billing.Power WindowsPower LocksSelecTrac 4x4 system allowing you many options including Full time 2WD, Full time 4WD, Part time 4WD (locked in), and Low Range 4WDAir ConditioningFolding seating in rear (for additional cargo space)Extra power outlets in front and rear cargo compartments. This Liberty is about as clean as they come. Take a look at the door wells and engine bay in the pictures...(Yes I even clean and wax doorwells when maintaining this Jeep :)) There are a few very minor scratches and marks from tree droppings however the pictures should do justice better than words. The interior is a 9 out of 10 and will not dissapoint. The engine compartment looks like it came off the factory floor. I am meticulous with clean mechanicals to make maintenance an enjoyable experience. I am a long term Diesel owner and have put meticulous maintanance into this Jeep. It shows in the pictures and driving experience both. Recent updates are new brakes (rotors and pads), New tires within the last 8000 miles, and a Marine grade GellCell battery for extra starting power in the cold winter months. The transmission and motor in this machine are certainly highlights. This is a heavy duty 5 speed overdrive transmission designed specifically to handle the torque of the Diesel powerplant. This commercial-grade Italian-built engine powers everything from light and medium duty trucks in Europe, to tractors, small sailboats, and powerboats around the world. Examples have been known to run for thousands of hours and over 500,000 miles in commercial trucks. Parts and service are readily available at your local Jeep dealer, since this engine still powers Jeep models produced for Europe. Update which I would recomend for a future owner of this Diesel vehicle: Fresh glow plugs. While a Diesel will last easily for several hundred thousand miles, Glow plugs allow it to warm itself prior to starting. If you will be driving this vehicle in sub zero temperatures and not storing it in a heated garage as I have, it will be prudent to replace the 4 glow plugs or have a dealer do so. It is a quick change for easy starting. Other items of note:This Jeep runs flawless however like most Jeep CRD's, it will frequently iluminate it's CEL (check engine light). The code being raised is only for the EGR (Exhaust Gas Circulation) valve. This is common to these Jeeps and is not a problem in any way for running or long term health of the vehicle. This valve is designed to take spent exhaust and try to recirculate it into the motor to try to "re-burn" it. The design was a good idea because it could cut a slight bit of emissions however in practice, they found it just caused soot to collect on the sensor and throw Check Engine Lights. This can be aleviated by either replacing the EGR valve or the Jeep may be programmed to not set it's CEL for this issue. I have an auto computer in my garage and will be happy to pull the codes for a prospective buyer if you wish to verify this. There are a few very small chips in the windshiled which have been epoxied and have not extended into spider cracks. Thanks for looking and feel free to send me any questions. Remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so BID TO WIN!!!
