No Reserve so BID TO WIN!!! Greetings and thanks for looking at this nicely restored Austin Healey Sprite MKIII with fresh top, interior, car cover, and Haynes manual. It has shown well at local car shows and always draws a crowd when we drive it to area restaurants. This machine was restored 4 years ago and repowered with a fresh 1275 cc engine. It is a true joy to drive and often described as an "Adult Go-Cart". Please note the pictures included to visualize the quality of the restoration right down to the jack, spare tire, trunk and even the tire wrench! The full wiring was updated as highlighted in the pictures and the car was changed over to a negative ground for safety and modern reliability. The car spends it's off time in a dry climate controlled environment. A great thing about Austin Healey's is the fact that you can own and operate one for very little money! The cost of this nicely restored, head turning machine is less than a typical motorcycle, and parts are plentiful as well as very reasonable. Extras Included are a fresh convertible top and frame, restored jack and tire wrench, full car cover, Haynes car repair manual, and the original condition side curtains which were not included in the restoration. If your goal is to turn this into a show car, the areas for improvement are listed as follows and displayed in the attached pictures: The RPM gague is not functional because it is an original positive ground unit. Being original, I did not want to remove or change it's look. There are How-To links on a Google search explaining how to easily switch this over to negative ground functionality and maintain the original look. The rear of the hood rubs slightly against the cowling just below the windshield causing wear of the paint (no rust or wear through to metal). Rubber underside bumpers (available for under $10) should alleviate this and would be correct for full restoration. One spot in the hood has a slight paint crack from flexing as pictured. Again there is no rust or wear through to metal. There is also a very small pinhead size chip in one side panel. Note that decoding the VIN it shows to be a 62 Sprite MKII however I have had people tell me it's a 65 MKIII. I believe it to be a 62 MKII because the MKIII has roll up windows. The title is currently 65 however I believe the DMV to be incorrect in this model date. This does not affect title or transfter and could be corrected on paper if you so choose. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and good luck on your bid. Also remember this is a NO RESERVE Auction so BID to WIN!!!
