lukechilds Store Ford Focus 2001 - AS IS - Good Motor & Transmission - Less than 63,000 miles! Please note before you read further that this car is NOT able to be driven in the present condition - you would need to have it towed to your place. Before I explain the problem, here is what is still good: Good motor (with less than 63K miles!) Good transmission (according to mechanic; untested by me)Brand New Battery (only used one week!)Nearly new back tires!Unused spare donut tireNearly new spark plugs and wiresGood body(except scrape on right passenger door & some rust on bottom edge)Windshield wiper and all lights in good working orderGood seatsGood cassette/radio stereo system Now here's the cause of the problem and the issues that caused me to replace the vehicle rather than repairing it (I have NOT attempted to have it repaired). The primary damage is all to the undercarriage area, and the damage was caused by me hitting a curb. I do not know much about mechanics and have to trust what the place that towed it in told me. I honestly see very little damage visibly. They told me that the front axle is broken and there is minor damage to the frame - no more details known. Functionally, the car still turns on fine. The problem that I notice is that when I shift it into reverse it makes a horrible noise. I have not tried the other gears because I have to pass over reverse to get to them. I'm assuming the noise has something to do with the broken axle, but again I know nothing about mechanics. Please note that I am NOT trying to list everything that is wrong with the vehicle since I don't really know. I'm assuming that the buyer will want the vehicle for the parts rather than repairing this actual vehicle, so that's why I'm focusing on what is usable. If you have a specific question about something that I haven't mentioned in the list of usable parts and also haven't stated was broken, let me know, and I'll give you all the information I know about the part in question. I would recommend that you come and look at the car yourself before purchase if you are interested. The $100 deposit is NOT refundable for any reason, so it is important that you know it is what you want before you purchase.
