Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a1970 Pontiac Lemans I have owned since 2001. I am the 3rd owner and have loved this car for a very long time. When I bought it from the last owner it was painted a custom purple metallic color in place of the stock color (red). After a few years of little bubbles and paint imperfections showing up I decided to get it painted again a few years ago but didnt really know what color to go with. Long story short I decided to use about $30 worth of orange spray paint to see how the car would look in that color. Last year I added the black stripe to give it that late 60's model look I prefer over the 70's judge markings. The hood is a real GTO hood, bought of Ebay a few years back, along with the GTO spoiler. The spoiler is off a convertible so its not technically correct for the body but again, I liked that version over the larger wing like those on the 70's judge or 442. This was an A/C car but the compressor is long gone. She makes great heat in the winter but if you need to cool off roll the windows down. The motor is a 400 block 350 backed by a Turbo 350 with a nice shift kit (stage 2 transgo) and breaths from an original quadrajet. The Previous owner installed a nice mild cam but Ive forgotten the specs. Long tube headers and an American Thunder Flowmaster system (installed about a year ago) keep this car from going unnoticed. Interior of car is amazing. The headliner is original and still looks sharp. Back seat is also original with no cracks! The front seat however has a cover but you would never know. The stock stereo is also present, but not hooked up. However, the car does have a Panasonic cd player equipped with xm radio in a hidden compartment to keep things looking classic. Xm subscription good till October I think, then you will have to update it if you wanna keep it. The wheels and tires are only a couple years old. I have the stock wheels that will come on the car. The wheels pictured will be sold with the car after the bidding has gone over $2500. Those wheels and tires cost me over $1500 alone. I work in Rockville and live in Mt. Airy if anyone is interested in checking the car out in person. Good luck, and god bless!
