We recently completed work on this BEAUTIFUL 1967 R60/2. It has just had a complete, front to back, top to bottom, inside out mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Basically it is a BRAND NEW 1967 BMW. All work except final assembly was done in our shop. After final assembly we did the final inspection, tune up, and initial 50 mile engine break-in. The customer then put an additional 700 miles on it, then we did a 700 mile service / tune-up / inspection. It is now ready to be ridden anywhere with the confidence you would have with any new motorcycle. The serial numbers match on frame and motor. There are keys for the steering lock and the glove box lock. All the paint is perfect! All the chrome is shinny! All the aluminum is clean and bright! The heads got rebuilt with new valves and seats. Fresh cylinder bore with new Kolben-Schmidt pistons. Bottom end new bearings and slingers. New clutch assembly. Complete transmission and final drive rebuilds. Complete wheels rebuild with Stainless spokes and Metzeller tires. Brakes relined. New main electrical harness. New solo seat. New replica exhaust system. New Concourse quality paint with hand pin striping. All new rubber seals, boots, pegs, grips, knee pads, etc. PLUS many more details, too numerous to mention. THIS BIKE IS AS NEAR FLAWLESS AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET on a bike ridden on the road.
