1959 impala convertible was an original 348 4 speed car with a/c, now is a project that has had alot of the back breaking work done. i was working to make this one of the best 59's out there. however priorities change and here it is my unfinished dream. there is around 125 pictures of everything that is included with the car and im sorry if some of this description is long drawn out and out of order but writing this off of a notebook that my old man wrote up for it. so her come it goes included with the car is a complete a/c setup including ac compressor bracket for 348 409 evaporator core condensor drier temp switch fan control restored ac vents new switch in box for fan motor all has been cleaned up polished or painted plus all hardware very complete 2 temp sensors compressor is complete but apart slightly (in pics) for cleaning to paint needs paint only also has a fresh restored recored heater core compressor rebuild kit included if needed compressor turns freely also has new cables 3 for ac operation plus old ones all new ac hoses plus the old ones are there. original 4 speed column very good condition in primber ash trays steering wheel was original no cracks it is in excellent shape in epoxy primer. complete gauge set with nice clock glove box rear speaker+emblem in excellent condition chrome also very nice kick panel grills fender extensions nice condition rear window inspection covers column mount cont top brackets for cylinders that mount to floor upholstery metal hold downs 8 dash interior front trim pieces front wheel wells restored and painted black gas tank was urethaned with sending unit new new trunk mat gray complete large dash trim all restored a complete stainless bolt kit for the entire car it has it all. under carpet sound deadener set 1 fully complete set of wire harnesses an am radio thats very nice with a perfect bezel a brand new set of window handles + inside door handles all new slider ash trays new valve dust cover for steering new hood insulation top fin clips new quarter panel trim clips fender clips new door clips as well as trunk clips both new. 2 door convertible trunk lid insulation restored windshield wiper bezels nice chrome fan heater selection control cables very nice condition complete light bulb kit for entire car including dash all new. new day night mirror with new convt bracket new horn ring with emblem left and right fresh air assemblies with cables painted and cleaned 1 59 exterior mirror gm new with gasket and hardware (left side). 1 set of seat trim restored very nice anodized new battery box with hold down 2 blinker assemblies repainted silver with new wiring new cowl strip new door j weatherstrips lower inner fender panel seals 1 dimmer switch cover painted clutch rods(2) 2 restored door strikers catches. 1 set washer squirters brand new blinker rubber 1 grill support 1 z bar painted trunk latches lock and brackets all there restored silver. license plate light brackets with nice lenses gaskets painted silver. 2 hood spring assemblies silver. all hood lock and bracket assemblies silver 2 horns with ac extensions painted headlight dishes 4 painted silver with 4 stainless rings polished A-1 1 brake vacuum container in primer excellent cond. master cylinder power booster all hardware and brackets also made for an impala. trunk hinge covers painted in primer 2 assemblies go to headlight buckets in primer very good cond. new plastic clips and hardware for buckets all a-1 shape heater core valve assembly new gas pedal generator power steering unit restored 1102115 and generator 7k31 very nice with orig power steering cap container of misc 59 parts that are critical to have but are all there. inner core of header restored black 2 pieces of drive shaft restored silver. 2 tail light housings silver 4 pieces of rear bumper braces black 1 set tail light housing gaskets for body mouting. 2 front bumper braces restored black front and rear bumper brackets 2 valance brackets black 2 pieces rear bumper brackets black. clutch and brake pedal assembly 2 rear valance ends left and right in primer with holes for back up lights nice condition. 2 dash support rods black one gas pedal mechanism. 2 engine splash pan pieces a-1 in black inner fender seals new inner fender filler to frame authentic style repop convertible felt kit 8 pieces windows fly wheel housing extension new. lower bellhousing cover manual trans new. 2 brand new rear mount antennas high quality. 1 is a dummy 1 is functional. a set of door weather strips new 1 trunk weather strip exact fit new. complete convertible top assembly metal all redone painted six door handle and latch handle springs new 1 set of 3 spicer u-joints new with u bolts and hardware inner horn ring chrome piece 1 new set parking light lenses painted clips for wiring for power top motor harness ect.. turn signal assembly brackets (2) painted silver. set of brackets for part assembly(????) silver. set of 4 brackets painted silver for grill assembly. 2 metal door jamb filler plugs 1 bag of new body plugs. new brake pedal pad trans support crossmember painted black with bolts.heater blower motor seal new. as well as heater box seal. 2 small brackets for valances. new chrome seat adj. knob 1 set new qtr window stops. plus the original stops. 19 misc bagged rubbers clips windshield moulding clips seals gromets clamps stops ect ect. little stuff thats all needed most new unopened 1 chrome deluxe license plate frame 3 clamps for 4 speed 1 temp sender unit the convertible top frame blasted to bare metal patched in 2-3 non stress points flush welded with thick gauge metal completely sprayed with etch primer reg primer and painted satin black with hardener. has new rebuilt steering box rear end was disassembled and new bearings installed and put back together and painted with new gaskets polished bolts all clear coated. rear brakes all new and installed on frame already new parking brake cables every bushing has been replaced on the entire frame. had a complete deluxe front end rebuild kit installed all new upper a-arm hardware with brass nuts. all new correct big block springs in the front and rear. rear of frame has added arm to axle and grame as alter year chevys had adds greater stability all new monroe shocks front and rear has proper disc brake conversion everything is included with this kit calipers and rotors are installed on frame already and has all new brake and fuel lines installed already. as listed b4 the power booster and master cylinder are included. i did all the work to this car with all plans on keeping it until i died so any work done was done good and done right. ive done 3 other 59's and a few novas kind of as practice for this one.frame is in very nice shape and is an original convt frame and its ready to go no work needed there. all new rubber body mounts as they give a nicer quieter ride. there is no motor or transmission with the car they it was an orig 348 4spd car however the 348 had a rod through the block and i scrapped it years and years ago when i bought the car. i actually ran this car with a 350 for a few years before i tore it down for resto but that motor ended up in a 59 sport coupe i had. was a hell of a lot of fun. my intenetion was to put a 409 425 horse in it for original looks and ass kicking power (i have the motor for sale seperately through ebay) and i have a non date correct t-10 for sale seperatly as well. selling them seperate because for all i know whoever buys it may put a 502 with a 700r4 in it which was also a thought of mine so the drivetrain choice is up to you. when i bought the car 15 years ago it had rot in the floors that was patched wrong and rot in the trunk and rockers and the rear quarters. all of this couldve been mickey moused together which is was but now its done right. the car has a full floor from a donor car all welded in perfectly and in primer trunk floor came from same donor car again welded in perfectly and in primer. all the other body panels were replaced with aftermarket quarters i bought the full quarters and fit them perfectly, a good friend of mine who restores cars as well couldnt tell i replaced them. same deal with the rockers. all in all the body is in late stages of primer and is almost ready for paint still needs some smoothing and probably another coat of primer and a final sand the body is perfect not a ding dent or any wave anywhere including the tops of the fins/wings. this is a spot most guys who do a 59 fall short. all of the body parts surprisingly were in incredible shape except for the valances which i purchased some nos and some good originals to get a complete set. this should be pretty easy to get ready for paint. i already painted the bottom of the body and the firewall in black with ppg basecoat clearcoat. the hood trunk and doors fenders had no rust and are in primer as well. pretty much pick a color and your ready to go. a side note i was preping the body to be painted black as well so it had to be perfect. black red interior and a white top. i have the full interior set with convt top that im selling seperatly due to the fact that your idea may be different if its the same feel free to bid on it. the entire car was media blasted to bare metal as well as the frame and i had them in etching primer within 12 hours of being blasted for that extra protection. now to the trim. i could go on and on and on about it but heres the simple part of it. its all here its all mint either restored reanodized polished chromed or what have you. whatever it was supposed to be is what it is now. i spend weeks and months and years searching for all good dent free trim. this includes the very rare convt top snap boot trim. all side mouldings all the trim for the interior you name it its here and its perfect. i probably have minimum 5 grand in hunting all this down no lie. i bought so much stuff i got over 200 items to sell that this car already has. so keep your eyes peeled for my future auctions. also included with the car is all new door glass and a brand new windshield all the window trim is triple plated again show quality. all have new rubber and felt where applicable. new windshield gasket included as well. everything that is included with the car is pictured i have tons of parts for
