Up for auction is a 1940 Ford Panel Truck. This truck belongs to my father, and i am listing it on Ebay on his behalf. This truck has been garage kept, and has not seen the light of day since 1974. the history of the truck prioir to 1974 is unknown. This truck is in exceptional condition for it's year. The odomotor reads 12,438 miles. The truck does not have the original engine, however the original transmission is there. Currently it is bolted to a later model flathead 8 out of a1952 F6 stakebody dump truck, and that was the engine dad was planning on putting in it if he ever put it back on the road. Also, there are no seats with the truck. The original flathead was a 65 horsepower motor i believe, and this flathead is closer to 100 horsepower i believe. There is no glass in the drivers side door, and the glass in the passenger side rear door is cracked. As far as rust goes, it is exceptionaly minimal and is visible in the pictures. This truck has not been chopped on, restored, and/or otherwise tampered with over the years, so if you are interested in restoring an all steel 1940 ford panel, this is the truck for you. The truck comes with a clear PA title as well. It is really hurting my dad to list this truck for sale, as it has been one of his dreams to put it on the road for the last 36 years, but other things have kept it from happening.
